Wouldnt class Cheshire Exile as a wind up merchant. Now the one from Southwell is a different matter. Inform and educate.

And of course there are absolutely no wind-up merchants amongst the fans of green&whites, are there?Wink

What was that Rabbie Burns said 'about seeing ourselves as others see us'?

Sorry to our Scottish friends for the translation and paraphrasing.

Our friend from Southwell might be a bit free with his ammunition, but it's not all wasted. There are some legitimate targets out there. Even a blind squirrel sometimes finds a nut.

In a way Nottingham are in double jeopardy here.  Because Delaney is doing such a good job with the players - as the number going on to Prem sides shows, coaches are happy for their charges to go to Nottingham to develop.  Then, given the geography, Leicester are going to be more willing to let players go to Notts than, say, Pirates.  Were Delaney to go elsewhere and his successor not be a coach of similar calibre you may well find that Notts couldn't get the d/r players and they were offered to Bedford instead where Rayer is doing an equally good job IMO.

Is it me or are there any other clubs out there EXCEPT Nottingham??!!

Not only am I bored with there constant drivel about all the great things they are doing for the English game and how they only have the 'odd' DR player in their ranks - but now we seem to have a constant 'chatter' amongst Notts supporters about their own club!!

I'm sure there is a place for 'internal platitudes' - why not try the Notts Supporters blogsite - you might get some people who agree with you on there?

Bring back the blow up supporters I say - mind you they were full of WIND as well!!!Confused

Oh do come along Douglas, you must realise that they have overcome adversity to mount a significant challenge in the Championship, with the most talented group of players, coached by the most innovative rugby teachers in the game and they play on the banks of the silver Trent in a ground which we mere observers admire.  And of course they are worshipped by the fairest minded supporters in the land.   I defend your right to criticise but in this instance you have not a leg to stand on since you may not find fault as they are indeed the Leicester of the Championship.  Stand back and applaud.....

It's mildly depressing SL manages to turn anything remotely to do with Nottingham into a thread about DR... If only there were more hours in the day to spend winding him up Tongue

You cannot compensate for injuries, but signing an army man is always going to have an element of risk attached is it not?.
Highly unlikely I know but as the play offs are 6 games long plus semis and final, injuries to specialist positions could make the semis and final a farce.
Allow a player in after the cut off period but the team has to withdraw another player to compensate?
