So when are we expecting to see the fixtures for next season released?

Jersey put out a first list last season on 9th June but there are inevitably tbc entries and if I recall correctly nothing is set in stone until sometime in July.
Dont kick it. Pick it up and GO FORWARD.

Or until the Rugby Union officials return from the jolly in South Africa.
Excuse my cynicism
I wonder if creating a new cup competition is causing them problems.

it would be nice to have an official release date for the fixtures but this is the RFU we're talking about so when we get the fixtures are anyone's guess. you would certainly like to think they'd be out by the end of June.

St Brelades is West I'll grant you but even St Peter is South from St Ouen. At least you don't live the other side of the tunnel!

The fixtures follow an interesting pattern this season if the Jersey website is a reasonable guide:
 https://www.jerseyreds.je/1st-team/1st-xv-fixtures-results-2018-19.aspx
The cup pool matches seem to revert to two sets of three matches before Christmas whereas last season it was three sets of two matches and extended into January. Only one league match from the end of October up to New Year seems an interesting change and on a personal basis I am happy that they seem to be avoiding the Christmas weekend which is strictly family time in chez carrot.

With the cup games usually attracting lower attendances than league games, I see some clubs having a severe cash flow period during that time.

Nothing to see here, move along....
Link isn't working for me CC.
The Reds website just shows blanks to date, but an indication of when the Cup games may be.
Everything tbc.

Come on Jersey........

I think this delay in publishing the fixtures is just shambolic. I understood it when we had the play-offs because they didn't finish until the end of May but to me there is no excuse this year. the season finished on April 28th and they have had over a month to come up with a fixture list and I don't think the Richmond/Scottish thing is such a problem that it has resulted in no fixture news a month and a half after the season has ended. i'm not impressed.

all I've heard is that there will be a cup competition just between the 12 championship teams. I didn't think you could get worse than the B&I but I think the RFU may manage it if this is true. a cup between the championship teams would just be a complete disaster.

Agree, nobody will be interested in just playing the same teams over and over again. Tedious.

That's kind of my point.  If they know it is a 12 Championship competition which will just get season ticket holders turning up if they can bothered there would be nothing holding up the fixtures.  They must realise that it has 0 interest and you would hope they are trying to sort something out with a little more imagination.

It is crazy. It seems as if very little thought has gone into it,as if someone's said, 'We need to fill up those weekends, but the Premiership clubs don't want their A sides beaten by Championship clubs, so they'd better play each other.'

Lets be honest, most of the Premiership A teams will be full of ex Championship players that they signed from our clubs anyway!!

well a quote from the RFU Championship twitter page responding to a question about fixture release dates. "the fixtures are currently being finalised and will be announced soon". as enlightening as ever. Although you would like to think that because they are being finalised they may not be too far away.

Could the wait be due to the football fixtures needing to be released and London Irish ground sharing with Reading?
