Drop out 22 - which senior coach did you speak to at Blackheath? Main one was in Romania. One senior team is wrong if you mean no second team that is probably correct but that is due to lack of quality players not budget but an influx of players at preseason could see possible 2s fixtures but at this stage commitment to join a league/merit table would be presumptuous and unfair to other teams. No mention of slashed budget at recent AGM. Nucleus of last years squad retained and some nice additions.

The player coach at Chinnor is Dan George who came to Blackheath from Worcester Warriors a couple of seasons ago playing in the first 6 games before being lured to Bedford for a few sheckles more. Nice guy, decent player, will probably still be capable of doing a job at this level but would think would be looking at the coaching role than playing as he was offered a coaching role at a Welsh pro 14 side before now.

Rabbie Burns, i'm not sure what team he manages but he's coached right at the top of the game. I'd rather not name names. He did infact tell me your DoR was the England Counties Coach, and he said to me then due to money being tight, no second team would be in action. He didn't go into too much detail about whether friendlies would be played etc. Either way I hope you guys finished above OE's.

Well if he was at the top he is spinning you a yarn, 3 preseason fixtures against Richmond, Ealing and TJs, players not money for 2s, I also hope we finish able OEs as that will put us close to the top as they seem to be bringing in some big names (not the ones on the web site)

Hope we do don"t finish bottom ,happy to be higher than where we finished last season. Not expecting a runaway leader like last two seasons,so could be an interesting season.Teams that have come up appear strong.

I expect all 3 promoted teams to have decent seasons. Big unknown for me is Rotherham. Thy say winning is a habit but so is losing and I believe Rotherham were rock bottom in the Championship in each of the last two seasons. I would guess that it will be very competitive at the top this season after the Hartpury and Coventry blow outs of the last two seasons.

1 Plymouth Albion
2 DMP
3 Ampthill & District
4 Old Elthamians
5 Sale FC
6 Blackheath
7 Birmingham Moseley
8 Rotherham
9 Chinnor
10 Cinderford
11 Esher
12 Bishop Stortford
13 Cambridge
14 Rosslyn Park
15 Caldy
16 Loughborough Students

Not for the first time I stand in awe of those who've got the time to sit down and work through 16 teams' signings, departures, existing squads, financial situations, coaching staff, training programme, training facilities, trajectory from last season, wage bills, etc, then conduct a ranking exercise before anyone's played so much as a friendly. How long did it take you?Clap

The whole point of the exercise is to prove just how little we know about other sides and how much we are speaking out of the wrong orrifice.

I point you to post 5 in this thread for the most ill informed drivel written here in a while .

Sixteen balls out of a hat would probably be almost as accurate at this stage.
The Championship equivalent is just as daft...

I've been working on this pretty much non stop since the final whistle blew on the old season. Of course it will all be proved worthwhile when I scoop the million pounds first prize for the most accurate answer at the end of the season.....

This thread will be as accurate as the bet on the World cup (£20 @ 500/1) for France 2-1 at half time and 4-2 full time. Sometimes its right, sometimes its wrong but it's all a bit of fun - especially with £10k to spend at the end of it. Must see if I can find a bookie to take my half-a-crown on DMP to win ...  probably at 6/1
