I believe they wanted a 1pm ko for our home game - this would have meant sitting down at 11am for the most lucrative lunch of the season, the Saturday before Christmas!

Indeed, although experience of travelling to Guernsey last September suggests that the bigger the airport the longer the check-in time is. Certainly at Guernsey you could almost have walked into the airport a few minutes before take-off and still caught the flight.

What is wrong with Shoreham Airport ?? I'm sure the old Dakota is still there

Hmmm bit of a pattern there then, the request for a 1.00pm KO at Christmas was "to allow them to catch their return flight" neglecting to mention there was a later flight they could catch! Fortunately we checked.
If only Webb-Ellis hadn't given them the ball back!
