That’s an interesting one, unless they were playing BS 2’s.

Hertford played a mixture of Stortford's second team and some first team players returning from injury. Two halves of 40 minutes and basically separate teams for each half. Stortford won the first half 12-0 and Hertford the second by the same score. As far as prospects for the season are concerned , I havent a clue we have lost a couple of players, and gained some others. Hopefully we will be in the mix but who knows, I dont suppose anybody thought at the beginning of last season that Sutton and Epsom would win the league and that Westcliff would go up with them.

Hmmm not sure about the Sevenoaks result. Most of them were at a Wedding and I’m pretty sure the club had no games today.

I’m sure I saw it earlier where it made reference to an earlier week game. Can’t find it now. Updated.

Very difficult to decide as have had very few postings with respect to LSE clubs recruitment and pre-season friendlies...

My 2 pence worth...

1. Top 3 will be Geese, LI and Wimbledon (Hertford and Rochford pushing hard)
Pushing the these teams but no quite there - Tring

2. Bottom 3: CS Stags, BA and Brighton
Sucked into the quagmire but have enough league nous - Guildford & Cup

Slightly confused aren't Geese and LI one and the same?

Top 3: LIWG, Tring, Wimbledon
Pushed by: Hertford, Dorking, Guernsey

Bottom 3:  Brighton, CS Stags, T Wells
Need to be very careful: Guildford, Bedford, Sidcup

For the ordinary purposes of conversation, a superficial knowledge of many things goes further than an intimacy with one or two.

Rumour has it that Brighton lost a pre season game to Westcliff by 80 points. That’s a worrying sign at this stage.

As the new boys on the block we approach the new season with confidence on the strength of last season's achievements but some trepidation as these are for us uncharted waters. We look forward to locking horns again with old friends and acquaintances at Brighton, CS, Dorking, Guildford, Sidcup, T Wells and Wimbledon and making new friends in rugby elsewhere.
Just for the record we chalked up 36 -5 and 35 - 7 wins in pre-season runouts against Beckenham and Bracknell respectively. However I don't think one should read too much into any of these warm up games as everyone tries to cram in holidays and weddings before the big kick off this Saturday. Good luck to everybody except when you play us. Away to Bedford will be a tough baptism!
