I was advised today that the final will be on the 5th May at Vallis Way.

Ambition should be made of sterner stuff.

Go for it No7. The Siam Cup is played in Guernsey that day so unfortunately I cant be there - it should be a brilliant final between the two best teams this season.
Dont kick it. Pick it up and GO FORWARD.

This was the original date. We were told it had moved to the 5th but appears to be back to the 12th!

Would someone mind telling me how the location of quarter finals, semi finals, and the final are decided? Is it an award thing or is it just picked randomly between the clubs competing?
As this confirmation means that Ealing have managed to get a quarter final, semi final, and final all at home.

The quarter final and semi finals are done on a seeding basis as far as I am aware, with the highest side seeded after the group stages getting the home games. I am not sure how it works should the lower seeded away side win. i.e. do they go to the higher seeded team in the next round or do they take on the defeated sides seeding?
The final is a bit of a lottery, but from what I can make out it will go to the side that will have the biggest crowd as the RFU take all of the gate receipts.
So, in the last round if Bedford had have won, then they would have hosted the final regardless of who the opposition was going to be.
If Jersey and Ealing won, then it would have been in Jersey and not at VW (despite Jersey being the no.2 seed and Ealing the No.1).
Now, this is my own take on things, but from what I understand is not far from the truth of the situation, however, in true RFU style this is anything but an exact science.
The upshot of it all is that it doesn't matter anymore as the competition will be finished following the final.

Ah, thank you for explaining that :)

Leinster - two finals on the same day. Do you think that this one will even get mentioned in the press? I don't believe that it is being televised.

Apart from family and friends I can't imagine Leinster will have very many supporters at the match.

I hope the attendance will beat last year's all-time low of 983 in Cork for the Munster A  v Jersey final.

Let's hope so TPT. The really sad thing is that if that game had have been played in Jersey there would have been C. 3,000 plus for that game IMHO. Much more respectable.
Actually, if advertised correctly, this could be just what ET need to gain a bit of local interest in the club. Everyones imagination is captured by the prospect of a senior cup final being played on their doorstep, let's hope that the good people of Ealing realise that.

They should push this to all of the people coming to the Womens final this weekend. Lots of locals likely.

Is anyone from any other club coming to the final ?. I wondered how much support from other Championship clubs the might be. I was thinking of London Scottish and Richmond supporters being so close.

I think the crowd will be around 500 but 750 would be desirable. It is a shame it is not Jersey in the final at Ealing ! . Leinster will have minimal support.
