Exactly. We're not exactly short of props currently anyway, so either they do us a favour and get him fit (he blows like a humpback whale at the moment) or he moves on having failed to prove himself. I'm quite relaxed about either option TBH.

He came to Cov very unfit following an abortive foray to France. He's worked very hard, and needs the game time, so it's probably a good move, getting time with their As.

I remember him when he was at Loughborough he was much lighter but still around 120 Kg. He is too heavy now at......

Biyi Alo – who tips the scales at 143kg (22st 6Ibs/315Ibs) will be joining French Pro D2 side Soyaux Angouleme this summer. He was the premierships heaviest player when at Worcester Warriors !.
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff.

He's probably around a stone lighter now, but still a big ol' unit.

I was surprised when he signed for Coventry and said something like he could put in 1 run and that was his game over.

You'll be even more aghast that he's gone to the Cuckoos then!

Cornish Pirates have announced that prop Jack Andrew and wing AJ Cant have re-signed on 2 year deals.
They have also confirmed that prop Christian Judge who has been on loan at Saracens for the last 4 months has signed for premiership club Bath for next season.

Not quite for this topic I know, but I am hearing that Kieran Hardy, formerly of Jersey Reds is in line for a 6 Nations call up for Wales due to injuries. I believe that he has been on top form for Scarlets this season.

Am I correct in thinking that he will only be eligible to play in the Championship but not in the Cup?

Championship Cup Reg 6. 3 imposes a "cup tie"

A  Club  may  not  be  represented  in  the  Competition  by  any  person  who  has  played  or  been  a replacement or   substitute  (i.e.   included   in   the   match   squad)   for   another   Club   in   the Competition in the current season.

Or is it this regulation?

6.5 A Club may only play or select as a replacement in the knock-out stage players that have been selected in a match day squad in the pool stage.

That regulation would prevent a new signing from playing in the Cup.

There is an exemption clause that has been circulated to clubs; this covers players who were part of a club's squad in Nov/Dec but could not play in the pool phase due to injury... clubs can apply for the exemption for such players if they are fit for the KO stages.

Great news at the Pirates as centre Callum Paterson and scrum half Alex Schwarz re-sign on 2 year deals.
The pirates has re-signed 11 of this years squad to date all on 2 year deals.

On the back of sh!te news that Fenner is out for the season following a torn pectoral muscle, comes good news that he's signed a three year extension at Cov.
My player of the season so far, so I'm delighted.

I don't think this has previously been posted - 5 players loaned from Bristol to Hartpury & available for immediate selection. All of them have had some involvement with Hartpury before, with the exception of former Jersey prop Jake Armstrong...
