Then proceeded to run a couple of laps carrying him !!

Sorry for the ignorance, but when and how will he do this? Im waiting on a few names.

apparently at this moment this is not accurate

Oh really, well thats what my source told me. I'd be happily corrected.

all the new signings from LS
still awaiting this one Tongue

Apparently its now not happening.

Regarding the 50 odd players. Are they all on contract?
Is there a performance squad and a social squad at Richmond?

I do not know how they are arranged internally but their 2nd and 3rd XVs did OK last season

Zoo Sports Division 1
1   Richmond Vikings (2nd XV) P24 W 21 L3
4   Richmond Saxons (3rd XV) P22 W15 D1 L6

One of Vikings losses was to the Saxons - they both won their 'away' fixture :-)

I really like the Richmond model, but that is a lot of players to keep happy. Must be all working in London. That is a big squad.

It’s not a model anyone outside London could copy! Easy transport, urban location yet next to a park, good facilities. Makes many of us nearby jealous!!

to answer some questions
we have 5 mens teams Normans 4ths won their league Jutes 5th won the cup
Plus the legendary Heavies who won the Surrey Vets Cup at Halliford's club
we have about 150 mens players and circa 45ish on some form of contract
I expect the DOR to do some announcement probably in July for the new players
if you cannot wait that long then suggest you look at social media but there are some very good players

To be fair this article is an exact replica of the one on the clubs website.

Onward and Upwards C'mon Donny!

I have a feeling that Codling was the magic ingredient at Ealing, just as Rassie Erasmus is for the Springboks, so let’s see what happens.

Very surprised by this. He signed an extension in Dwcember. Sends a very negative message to the team - if he believed that they could get promoted, then would he have left for an assistant role? And who the heck will they get to be head coach now? If this is true, then I have lost some respect for Codling.

He’s moved before. Rosslyn Park went down the pan after he left for somewhere in Ireland. It would be naive to think people aren’t susceptible to offers from bigger clubs. Look at the mass exodus of Richmond women to
Harlequins a couple of years ago, and the bewildering way football managers move about.

I have no issue with folks moving on. For example, I wish Luke Daniels all the best. For me, the reason that this annoys me (if true), is really about the timing. If he had wanted to move on, then he shouldn't have signed an extension, ostensibly to lock him up when Northampton came sniffing around last year.

I do worry about Ealing's (or any Championship club's) ability to get promoted with Premiership clubs able to swoop in and poach players/coahces in-year. Perhaps I'm just a bit of a conspiracy theorist on this one though...

Disappointing yes, timing could be a lot better also but he is a top quality coach that deserves to be coaching in the Prem. Plus he is a former Quins player and lives in London so I totally get why he would move there. Alas though I think it probably is fatal to our chances of finishing top.

Could make the preseason game at the stoop a bit more interesting!
