Ealing now carrying 38 players - Prop = 7!

Is the exclamation intended as a comment on 7 being a high number of props G? I'd expect most clubs to want 3 loose- + 3 tight-heads, especially if match-day squads are 23 as seems likely. Few players can genuinely play both sides, so 7 doesn't seem way high from a club with one of the larger budgets...

Yeah - 7 seemed a bit high to cover just two positions to me. However, given the injuries we've had at that position this year, I can see your logic as well. Also, Mark Tampin move to Newcastle now confirmed.

Managing the players expectations will be the hardest job otherwise you will have a huge wage bill and little to show for it look at some of the underperforming premiership teams .

Odd form of words on Carnegie site:

"Long serving Yorkshire Carnegie forward Josh Bainbridge has ensured he will continue to play in the Greene King IPA Championship next season after agreeing a one year deal with Jersey Reds."

I'm not sure it's that odd. As with all out-of-contract players here, no new offer has been made.
That's easy for you to say.

The whole thing is odd, as if it’s all falling apart but they don’t want to admit it.

The clock is ticking. The RFu should have bitten the bullet and declared them insolvent and therefore relegated them not Richmond and enalbes Richmond toproepare for next season.

If they fold now, Richmond get asked to fill the spot having already lost players they possibly could have kept had they known earlier.

Surely having a Championship level club in Leeds is important to English Rugby. If Hartpury can borrow or otherwise recruit enough ringers to keep them up last season the RFU could surely facilitate another batch of ringers to keep Leeds in the Championship. It would make the Championship even more of a mockery but I could make a stronger case for supporting Leeds with ringers than I could for Hartpury.
Dont kick it. Pick it up and GO FORWARD.

But there has to be something to support. At the moment it's not clear whether we have any contracted players at all.

I don't think the RFU can unilaterally say that the club is bust but it was technically insolvent at the time of the last published accounts (2017) and I imagine that much of the behind the scenes agonising now is about finalising the overdue 2018 accounts.

If there is reasonable suspicion, for example a report of players not being paid, they can arrive unanounced and ask to see the books.

I don't think there is any suggestion of that, though it was feared/rumoured at one point.

Kyle Evans an exciting signing . . . as for YC unless they can have 10 loan players and 3 DR's ( aka Hartpury) for every game I cant see them managing to get a competitive team . . I assume they are still hoping to find "investors" . . although it is not very clear what you would be investing in . . I do hope this is sorted, and sorted quickly for all concerned. Not least the hard core of fans who continue to support the club.
Run with it

Hartpury had a couple of local Prem sides who wanted to use them as a feeder/training side .  Leeds are a fair way from any ? Newcastle are now in the same division, Sale maybe Leicester are in big upheaval not sure who else
