Looking forward to seeing Josh Hodge get some game-time in the Championship. Looked really promising in the U.20 RWC recently.

I know of several new signings but last years `remainers` are on the website and only number 27. I am surprised that we have managed to keep Rayn Smid, Jordy Reid, and Kieran Murphy. There is still time for one or two of them to be snatched by a premiership club .

There are five new players who are all set to start at Brunel University but still be part of the `new` Academy at Ealing. Ealing have a new partnership with Brunel and will receive coaching from the senior squad coaching set up.

Tom Denton retired today. That brings the number of senior players under contract down to 41. I'd be surprised if Ealing doesn't go out and get a couple more veterans. I think that they operated with 43 last year, and struggled with injury cover at times. I give them 12 academy players signed as well. My running list is below.

Probably a good time for Ampthill to try to find a non-hooker who can throw into the lineout then.

Mark Wilson agrees Sale Sharks loan move

Tuesday 2 July 2019

Newcastle Falcons and England back-rower Mark Wilson will spend the 2019-20 season on loan at Sale Sharks.

Brilliant player and absolute class by Falcons for facilitating this move.

Dont kick it. Pick it up and GO FORWARD.

Ealing Trailfinders is pleased to confirm the signing of Harry Seward for the 2019/20 season.

The tight-head prop joins after completing his time at Cardiff Metropolitan University, and he has been one of the strongest performers in the BUCS Super League during that time.

Ambition should be made of sterner stuff.

Oisin Kearney and Michael Cooke both sign for the new Trailfinders academy. Not sure whether or not to include the academy lads on here, but in the past, Academy lads have gotten a runout, but that structure was a bit different than the new Academy in partnership with Brunel University.

On a more exciting note, Verinki Goneva has left Newcastle.

Not been reported by Blues but a couple of outlets seem to have scrum half Alex Gliksten signing for Bedford from Sarries on a permanent. Also rumours that prop Scott Jenkins will no be longer be joining. Wing/full back Joe Green retained in the academy it seems too.

Cambridge  are not listing Joe on our site -  he had some good games for us. 8 tries in 18 matches and more in the Wanderers. Though I am not on the coaching staff, I am sure we could use him if he is available on loan again.

Fresh from The Rugby paper, Coventry have added another showcase signing in flyer, Henry Purdy. Interesting to see how the division unfolds this season. For more reasons than one!

This has been rumoured for some weeks now, but there has been no announcement from the club, nor the player, and so for now he remains a rumour.

Good one though.

Bedford sign full back and local lad Charlie Reed from Loughborough Students following a successful trial period. He was named at full back in the National one dream team last season.

Bedford sign prop Henry Paul from Esher (had previously agreed to sign for Rosslyn Park) as a replacement for Scott Jenkins who will no longer be joining the club due to injury.

He looked good against the Navy... if I’ve got the right player.
