Louis is a very talented, skilful player.  Is this the start of an OEs exodus?

There has been an exodus but this has slowed down now. I see the 1st XV had 7 U21’s in game v Rams on Saturday. The exodus is now having an impact on 2nds & 3rd teams being unable to fulfil fixtures with players being moved up the ranks. They will remain mid-table but more players will leave over the summer and they will struggle in Nat 1 next season.

Unfortunate for all involved, but as the sponsors money got them promoted it just highlights having 1 big sponsor is not a sustainable model

OE's had a meeting in around November I believe, players got told they weren't going to be paid, it was the case that somewhere and some weren't for a stage. Will be in an interesting 2020/2021 for them.

In other news, Graham Steadman has left London Scottish with immediate effect alongside Jonas Mikaclius whilst Mike Te'o joins the club till the end of the season.

Anyone got any insight into whats happening at the club right now? I know they're talking of going part-time next season, but LS has been known to change plans last minute.

'London Scottish is announcing today that head coach Graham Steadman has informed the Club that he wishes to remain in a full-time rugby environment and therefore, given the recent reductions in RFU funding of the Championship, he will seek a new coaching position elsewhere.' - would appear to indicate they will not be full time next season. Although now the RFU cuts are to be made over 2 years did he go too early?

I think he did. I still believe the club may remain full-time. The club is in an awkward position where they're not sure how their finances look for next season, but they can only plan for the worst.
Years ago, we had a player leave due to a lack of communication at the end of the 2016/2017 season, thinking he was being replaced as the club had announced another signing in his position. In fact this player signed was to be the back up/player-coach, this wasn't communicated to the other player and he left.

The club has yet to start recruitment for next season.

Elijah Niko leaves Ealing effective immediately due to visa issues. A shame, very physical presence on the wing who could open up space.

Charlie Foley re-signs at Doncaster until at least 2021.

Think that's 6 resigned so far for them, excluding those who may have another year on their deals already.

I think you will find it’s only 5 at the moment unless you know something that we don’t.

Rumour mill surrounding the future of Mark Bright, one being that he's off to Bury St Edmunds as Player/Coach and the other that he's staying put. He did a couple of interviews in the Scrum magazine over the last few days, that seemed to indicate he wasn't off anywhere anytime soon.

Doncaster today announced the first new signing for the 2029/21 season, James Kane.
They also announced the current squad as it is.

Great stuff, think it'll be very interesting as to how those who are full/part-time will fare in the league next year. Good to see Doncaster continuing to build throughout this crisis.

On the Scottish front, I don't believe a straight change to a Tuesday/Thursday training model, but potentially a reduced number of training days is the likely outcome.

Bit late mentioning this, but, Heath Stevens has announced his retirement from playing to further his coaching ambitions, and his business interests (with Cov's Ben Nutley).
Joined Cov in 2011, and is still only 27, so slightly surprising.
Wandered off for a while, but came back and was part of the squad that finally got the club promoted back to L2, so will be missed by many. Played quite a lot of games, and scored a fair number of tries.

I think he like a number of players may have looked at the financial problems in rugby and thought get out whilst the going is good. He is not the first or last who will make this decision . Championship has no agreed deal and if RFU lose more than the potential £50 million there will be no deal. ( Sorry guys its C19 we have no money.
4 to 6 teams could possibly carry on maybe a couple of Nat 1 teams could afford to compete but how can you have a league of 8 teams
