Ha ha. I wrote the same thing about 10s and deleted it!

One would do to be going on with...

Will Maisey wasn't on that list of leavers from Bedford was he?
Stephenson from NTU was in the squad list too I think.

Maisey to my limited knowledge !!! isn't signed with anyone at the moment and I think it was announced he was moving , and Stephenson could well be back again from NTU. I think the only problem is if all the NTU guys return to NTU as far as I know NTU should be up and running in September ??? But there was a general discussion some weeks ago as to whether some courses could continue on line with a limited number of physical meetings. Will Millett played 10 in a couple of games last year as well

Maisey is now backs coach just down the road at Kenilworth RFC. Which, of course, doesn't mean he won't also be playing somewhere else too.

Buggea was a squad player at the Blues. He can play 6 or 7 but for me lacked any real size or speed to make a meaningful impact. He will do a job, but I wouldn’t expect him to be a superstar of the team, but consistent in performance.

Makes you wonder how many FH/utility backs they need - increases battle for game time for Will Hooley.

I suspect they are building a Championship squad to which their superstars are added for the odd important games.

At 32 looks like a one season arrangement for the coming season.

with a squad of 32 plus it should give them room to choose a side to play against all the Championship teams on their merit. Full squad against Ealing and the top teams a less experienced side against Nottingham and those not as powerful would expect to see some of their academy team to get a run out as well

I imagine Sarries' selection would be as much be based on timing as on the perceived strength/weakness of opponents. There'll be certain periods within the season when the 'big guns' want/need game-time ahead of international duty, and other spells when they don't, or are actually playing for England.

And of course many of those who've opted to stay will have been swayed by the prospect of a trip to Jersey, so they will be at full strength for that one... Wink
