Hartpury V Nottingham 1 - 4 ... Normally, this would be a tough game but a fairly nailed on away win. However, things have changed a tad and this could go either way in a very tight contest. My heart is really going for an away win here.

LS v Coventry 5 - 2 ... Another tough one to predict, but I think that Scottish at home will always score points and I will go for a high scoring home win. Cov will push them all the way though.

Richmond v Ealing 0 - 5 ... Not getting any easier for the part timers and this is a game that Ealing really need to turn up for. Tight first half, Trailfinders to run away with it in the last 30.

Donny v Bedford 0 - 5 ... Doncaster really didn't get the rub of the green last week in Jersey and nothing went their way until the game had gone. This week I just think that Bedford will have too much all over the park for them. Pitman to have another good game though.

YC v Irish 4 - 1 ... Up front battle. The only way to beat LI is to fight fire with fire and if Carnegie get their A game going in the forwards and keep their discipline, then they could scrape a tight home win together.

Pirates v Jersey 2 - 5 ... Surely the game of the round. Pirates always very difficult to beat at the Mennaye, but Jersey will be out for revenge from the Cup defeat and really want to cement their position in the top 4. I really wish that I was going to be there for this as I think that the good people of Cornwall could be in for a real treat.

Good luck all.

Hopefully a dry day's in prospect in Newlyn on Sunday... although it looks as if there's been a fair bit of the wet stuff in the build-up

Ealing Trailfinders team to play Richmond on Saturday 9th March at the Athletic Ground: I am a bit frustrated to see so many changes again to the team as lack of continuity is unhelpful, but I can understand some changes, as Will Harries and Lewis Jones return to full health, and Jordan Burns took a slight knock last week. The high number of changes in the front row is a concern, but I am very excited to see Reon Joseph enter the lineup for the first time this year. Ben Landry being on international duty makes us a bit thin in the second row, but hopefully we can cope against Richmond.

15 Peter Lydon 14 Will Harries 13 Lewis Jones 12 Harry Sloan 11 Reon Joseph 10 Laurence May 9 Ryan Foley 1 Jordan Els 2 Matt Cornish 3 Mark Tampin 4 Jordan Onojaife 5 Harry Casson 6 Kieran Murphy 7 Andrew Durutalo 8 Rayn Smid ©

Replacements:

16 Alun Walker 17 Matt Beesley 18 Elliot Millar Mills 19 Sam Dickinson 20 Rohan O’Regan 21 Jordan Burns 22 David Johnston

Ealing must feel their front row needs strengthening, as one of the Richmond players is going there next season. With Grimstone back, Mond ‘s front row is returned to full strength. Also the presence of Oliver Evans at centre after a long injury layoff before last week is encouraging.
I hope this is Rorkes Drift and not Thermopylae for Mond.
