Well it is finally here.. The season is over :(
Now Spring officially begins and not long to LONG summer wait to next season.
Again there is still the Promotion playoffs for other leagues, the Premiership, the County Championship, quite a few sevens tournaments and of course the British Lions tour to New Zealand. Not exactly the same!!!

Would like to start by wishing Hartpury CollegeClapClapClapClapClap best of luck in the Championship and massive congratulations for going through the whole season unbeaten.

I would also like to welcome both CaldyClapClap and Bishops StortfordClapClap to league for next season as well as whoever wins the Promotion Playoff between Sale FCClapClap and Old ElthamiansClapClap.. Will finally the North triumph!!

Suspect CambridgeSmile are feeling very very lucky as with the demise of London WelshCryCry (very sad there as was the first team l saw play in London when they played Nuneaton many many years ago!!) there was no relegated team from the Division above so meaning only two went down from this division.

So onto the last weeks results...

And a real shame that Blaydon are relegated after a gallant fight over the last few weeks with Hull IoniansClapClapClap who have not only matched them for every result but surpassed on the last day by amazing win away at Darlington Mowden Park. My guess Blaydon will bounce back in the next season or two with Macclesfield the other team relegated.

With most going for a Blaydon away win at Old Albanians and some thinking Rosslyn Park would beat Ampthill l was surprised we managed to get someone who got all the results right. So congratulations to ClapCovmickClap for completing that feat!!

Well so who has won the League.... It was quite a big gap to catch Local Person and not surprisingly no on did it so Massive Congratulations to ClapClapClapClapLocal PersonClapClapClapClapParty who is the 2016/17 Prediction League Champion with a gap of 12 points over hophogClap who moved into 2nd and last years Champions GreenPowerClap a further couple of points back.

High score of the week not surprisingly was CovmickStar with an excellent score of 33.

Highest climber is AlbionlassClap climbing 5 places from 32nd to 27th place.

Low score of the week is SilverfishOuchDead with a pretty good score of 16!!!!

Many many thanks for all who took part the league...ClapClapClapClap

Thanks for all of your efforts, SS, the Prediction Table is much appreciated! Quite a few Esher supporters read this blog without posting and I get berated by them when I have a bad week. I never get praise for a good week, though! 11th this year not as good as last year so some improvement required for next season, perhaps a new pin!

Keep up the good work!!

Good work once again SS and I am going to stop putting why because my position in the table has slipped and it's due to overthinking the results

and thanks SS from MM and myself for adding subtle spice to the National 1 weekly outcomes. Your unique prediction table is a serious challenge for us all.
As to luck - modesty Local Person. 600+ is a formidable 20 point game average. Your consistency over the season and last, confirms that you watch and assess form consistently well. I expect you to be doing the same next season alongside Greenpower, Jolly Hog, newcomer hophog, Halliford, Sid, Spooky  & SS.
Respect  from Cambridge, there but for the grace of the Welsh----. At least we have the most potential for improvement.

Well 48th place for me. Lets see how I do next season when I play from week one. Should be interesting in ND1 next season with no relegation from the Championship this season and with probably no runaway winner like Hartpury this season. Should be tight at the top and bottom.

No place for excuses DKF you came 48th because your attention to detail was lacking Wink

Must do better is what your report card should read.
Onward and Upwards C'mon Donny!
