Is the uncertainty regarding Leeds delaying the announcement of the Championship Fixtures .
If so how long can this go on.

Well it may not be helping but I'm pretty sure we don't usually seem them until mid-June.
That's easy for you to say.

Have a feeling there may be an official dead line of the 19th June , draft fixtures out around now as they are in Nat 1 but these are still negotiable if clubs have a problem with dates

The cut off date is May 31st.

If a club informs the RFU on or before that date then one of the relegated clubs is repreived and much juggling is done further down the leagues.

If a club informs the RFU it cannot fulfil its fixtures on or after June 1st - the league goes ahead one short.

There is also a August 1st date for Premiership and Championship clubs.
Those leagues can be juggled until then.
National 1 goes ahead one short if a pro club goes down in June or July.

Albert
I agree but last year they were very late. This was attributed to the RFU officials being away "supporting " the Lions I believe
I wondered if the Word Cup could have the opposite effect.
Albert I am so sorry for you and the Leeds supporters .Just remember there is always curry and chips for you at Castle Park no matter what happens
Camquin thank you for your information re fixtures

No. Championship fixtures have never been issued in May during the 7 years Jersey have been at this level. Typically 2nd-3rd week June, although there was one year - 2016 - when it was a week or so into July.

Thanks, I would certainly consider a trip down if there are any more representative matches. For my weekly entertainment, should we not survive, I shall probably plump for one or more of the several clubs which I can reach by bus from my bit of north Leeds. This would have the added bonus that they all play on Saturday, as it should be, leaving Sunday free for other pastimes.
That's easy for you to say.

I am sorry but the July year was last year
I agree the fixtures always came out in early June.
However there are some unfortunate circumstances which may require an earlier date.

I know this is a fixtures topic, but Albert are there anymore indications of how YC are getting on with restructuring for next season . . the only news seems to be players leaving?

None whatsoever, I fear. The club's accounts for the year ended 30 June 2018 are overdue at Companies House so part of the discussion might be over questions of going concern.

The fact that one of the few sources of information in recent days has been Lady McGeechan's Twitter feed just about sums it up. I can't say I am optimistic.
That's easy for you to say.

Islander
The 22nd was later than normal
I now realise why i thought it was August I was abroad on 22/07/2018 and came back on Sunday 01/08/2018.
Doncaster's first fixture was Pirates away on 01/09/2019.
Trying to find any accommodation in Penzance and its environs on that date (still in the holiday season) for my party of 10 proved impossible and the trip was cancelled.
So for the second season I missed the Pirates trip (Beast from the East)
That is why I need the fixtures as early as possible.
It brought back memories of when our fixture at Pirates was on 31/12

Premier Inn & Travelodge in Penzance might be open in time for the Rugby season

EDIT: Looks like that may now be 2020

EM

I sympathise with your need for the fixtures; unfortunately there are other factors involved.

FYI, last season's fixtures, released on 22 June 2018, weren't later than normal. Going back five seasons from then, they came out on:
  • 9 June 2017
  • 8 July 2016
  • 22 June 2015
  • 23 June 2014
  • 25 June 2013
Hopefully you'll be able to get your trips planned, and that we'll see you in Jersey! Smile

Islander I would always come to Jersey but we have flight problems from Doncaster.
This is another reason why I would like the fixtures asap as I can then assess where to fly from
