Now that the complete, finalised fixture list for next season is out, it seems the RFU did not learn their lesson from last year and has put no free weekends in. Surely we're going to get into the same mess as last year as the inevitable snow occurs in Winter?

I predict a BBQ winter
![]() GJ, I think it's only the Welsh/Irish teams that are moving their fixtures. Edited by knightandday - 07 Jul 2010 at 08:09 |

Bristol have confirmed that with the exception of the New Years Day clash with Worcester, all our home matches this season will take place on Sundays. First match against Rotherham on Sunday August 29th.

As of today we have still not had the dates published for these matches, but I would say yes with a maybe a Friday night thrown in.
Should there be any change to this I will let you know and post on here.

Gutted Bristol v Roth is on a Sunday - can't do away games on Sundays! Would have been there if it had been on the Saturday.

I feel the same way about :
"Following discussions with Rotherham Town Cricket Club we are pleased to announce that our first home game for the coming Championship season will be held on Sunday 5th September with kick-off at 2:00pm when we will entertain Bedford Blues." ...but I'll still be there. |

Bees apparently changing their home game against the Pirates to Sunday. No problem for us but the dog might not like Sunday rugby.

It was the dog's idea. He's going out for a walk on the Saturday afternoon. To be serious - most Bees games will be on Sunday this season.

We played a couple of the play-off games last season on a Sunday, and we've also got the groundsharing situation to consider now. It's not easy playing a game with 4 different teams and 2 different-shaped balls on the same pitch at the same time!

Good point Gareth, they don't suit me full stop but for me the home games at least don't mean that my wife has a 1.5hr journey home from work - which she would if I wasn't there to pick her up. Better than the last 9 years though when my lad played rugby up to Colts last season when I couldn't even get to home games on Sundays.
