Topic: Rolling Maul Pin BadgePosted: 25 May 2011 at 19:32 |

We have previously discussed the possibility of producing a pin badge so that we can identify ourselves at matches to our fellow RM contributors.
As far as I know, it went no further than that. I decided that it was about time for action and I have commissioned an initial run of 200 badges. Please see the picture below. The actual colours are less garish. I'm hoping that the initial run will be oversubscribed. But if not, C'est la vie. ![]() My initial thoughts as to distribution are: I'm a member of the Wooden Spoons City of London and I would charge the administrator of our area with the task of distributing the badges for, say, £5 per badge + postage. I've covered the cost of this first batch and therefore every penny of the £5 would go directly to Wooden Spoons charity and they would be better off by £1,000 !! it may be that someone has a better idea. It's up for discussion. In the future, it may be that we commission a different style or colour of badge which would signify the season/year the badge represents. If it became an annual update, it would be possible to choose a different charity (or a number) or stick with the Wooden Spoons who have an obvious rugby connection. Thoughts/comments ? |

Excellent idea.
I would like to buy one and help a very good charity. Who knows, perhaps we could all contribute to Seagoon's "Cycle up the Amazon" in years to come? Congratulations on your generosity in putting this idea into practice. Just need payment details.
