Ah, that may have been the case for the Malvern/Hereford match. There were a lot of re-arranged games that went late into May. Come to think of it, I think there was a cut off date before a dead rubber could be called. I only mentioned it because the comment apparently came from a Westoe supporter.

I just hate the notion of a team not playing. What are we in this sport for?

Ah Well, Last chance Saloon.

Harrogate vs Leicester Lions. Pitch condition could swing this either way.
Huddersfield vs Stockport Fancy a postponement if this rain keeps on
Hull Ionians vs Otley Ionians should clinch this and send Otley down for the second season running.
Luctonians vs Kendal Can't see Kendal sending a full strength squad should be an easy 5 pointer for Lucts
Nuneaton vs Caldy Training match ahead of the play off for Caldy
Preston Grasshoppers vs Loughborough Students Tight.
Sheffield Tigers vs Bromsgrove Although the weather again may play a part we're yet to win at Dore Moor
Westoe vs Hull RUFC Home side to make amends for last weeks drubbing but not by much. Not sure how much influence an artificial pitch will have.
Mostly harmless!

Just spotted something!
Some are showing Stockport at home vs Huddersfield and others are showing what the NCA have as Huddersfield vs Stockport

Two entirely different propositions given the contrasts of their respective pitches.
Mostly harmless!

Huddersfield must be at home since they played Stockport away (according to NCA) the first game of the season.

Re "dead rubbers" on the last Saturday of the season:- there seem to be 4 or 5 games that mean nothing apart from the pride of winning and enjoying another game and of course being respectful to any sponsors involved. I don't see how any club can cancel a league match at any stage just because they don't fancy playing it!

Can anyone put credence to the rumour? It allegedly came from a Westoe supporter. I'm wondering if there is an NCA rule that stops this happening, I hope so.
Just to clarify the Hereford/Malvern scenario, it was the two DoRs who between them decided not to play the game. The players wanted the game. Great season at Finstall, by the way!
Tell you what,we'll have just one more....

But you could have added an inadvertent 't'.

And Insider just spotted it 3 days ago!

"Not sure what happens to those who have put Home / away for Stockport v  Hudds ??  as the game is at Lockwood in Huddersfield - they played away at Stockport 1st match of the season"

Yogi usually dots his i's and crosses his t's .... but with his size paws it would be easy to touch the t rather than the r as they are close on the QUERTY keyboard, either that or his honey has been laced!!!
