Vicky Macqueen, very good coach and your lads seem to have a lot of respect for her from what I have seen. A new mum I believe too??
Run, run as fast as you can!

I see South Leicester are getting their desired "pop" at Leicester Lions in a pre season "friendly" in August, not that these trials give you the whole picture,it may help South see how far they are away from N2 level.

That's correct Tiger bernie, Lions are trying out a different look at pre season this year from next Thursday they are training live with local side Lutterworth at their place to get some much needed game situation contact and time, then as you said host Southend who they have played twice before in pre season fixtures and it always proves to be a good run out for both teams ,three seasons ago Southend came to us and we were bowled over by their professionalism and entourage ,they bought 40 odd players, three physio's and a multitude of coaching staff, very impressive actually. Honours were fairly even with Southend having the edge in open play and Lions seeming to do the tighter stuff better. Leicester are making the day of it with training planned for the morning, then lunch and team theory session followed by the game. Then as you say Lions play South Leicester on a Friday night I think, I am predicting a local derby dog fight with South trying to prove some kind of a point, but this will also do Lions good as a good rough up by a lower team always tests character. And this should get a lot of that horrible first game knocks and lung burning out of the way ready for a big physical Westoe side the week after.

I don't expect anything Rich, you get what you earn! Of course we want to play in N2, ideally with you lot still in it! I heard a rumour lions have concerns over their pack this season? Southend tore us a new one in the forwards 2 years ago so you might want to dust your boots off!
Hinckley play, kettering, burton and bromsgrove for pre season fixtures, be interesting to see who the other teams have lined up?

someone's posted on the N2 thread that some of the RL players have popped up at some of the N3 teams, Sutton and Broadstreet. If Tait is at Sutton that will be huge for Sutton, is he a local Sutton lad then?

In last weeks Sutton observer, just said we had signed Jamie Taylor from Nuneaton, Jamis is ex Sutton & a local lad! Marcus Harewood from Aston Old Eds (local level 7 team) & experienced back row Jamie Sutton who has. Moved into the area & is working with a couple of Sutton lads. Haven't heard anything else, just that all but one of last seasons squad are staying & there a group of ex colts also training with the first team squad.... Sounds like still retaining the "homegrown" majority etc....
