South Leic vs Ampthill - South, stong starters plus they are one of few teams loving all this rain!
Syston vs Broadstreet - broadstreet, finished last end of season stronger
Sutton C vs Hinckley - hinckley, always back yourself
Newport vs Bournville - newport, strong at home, hard enough for most let alone new teams
Sandbach vs Derby (4-0) Derby - pure guess, strong colts side that may have input??
SKiwifruithorpe vs Mansfield (1-4) Scunny - strong at home
Longton vs Nuneaton - longton, contenders for promo
Fortune favours the brave

South Leic vs Ampthill   (4-1) South win - Ampthill might be peoples favourites but don't discard South

Syston vs Broadstreet (1-4) Broadstreet win - Street are now the top rugby side in that area

Sutton C vs Hinckley (1-5) Hinckley win - New signings may prove too strong

Newport vs Bournville (2-4) Bournville win - No idea!

Sandbach vs Derby (4-2) Sandbach win - They sound threatening even tho NLD are meant to be supplying players to Derby!

Sunny-thorpe vs Mansfield (1-4) Mansfield win- Dreaded place to go to but Mansfield are up north too so will be use to it

Longton vs Nuneaton (4-2) Longton win - Bracing cross field wind will be a baptism for Nuneaton

Welcome to the forum Hobnob, it looks like your posts will be very interesting!Tongue
It's very kind of Scunny, Mansfield, Matlock et al to let us have their players I've not seen any signing on forms yet but I'm sure your sources are impeccableWacko

I wouldn't have a clue how any of those results will go.

The good thing about our opener with Derby is that we are both new to this league, so not only will we not know what to expect.  But also the result at Costa Del Bradwall (Remember that name boys you'll come to fear it Hug) on 1st September will not give any other team useful information.

It could be that North 1 West and Midlands 1 East are both very strong (or weak) compared to N3M. We won't really know until a few games in.

PS: Who or what is/are NLD?  That are or are not supplying players to Derby...

It's like saying that Cheshire are supplying players to Sandbach or Leicestershire are supplying players to South!!!

How big is this area?

because of Poor pitch conditions elsewhere, Cov have been doing there preseason at Ivor preece fields. This means at the moment we are not even the top rugby side at broadstreet!

Agreed P&P, however I am looking forward to seeing your team sheet for the first game of the season.  I am sure Derby will be/have approached players from the NLD during the off season, like you did a season or two ago with Wilmott, Nixon, Westcott, Mather et al.

Rumour has it from Notts, that Derby were trying to obtain the services of a very prolific kicker at Matlock.

With Hinckley having made lots of new signings...? does anyone know who they are...? Is anyone aware of any other signings in N3M, or are most teams the same as last season..?

2 fair points well made Elburko.

re NLD that was then, this is now and lessons have been learnt. Having said that they were all from the u20s squad... I won't go on.

Regarding point 2... who wouldn't ask the question....

Given that there are no financial inducements all we can offer are good facilities and level 5 rugby. It's a simple matter of a team trying to bolster/improve its squad, I doubt we're alone.
