I think good quality contested training against Premiership opposition is a good idea.  Yes, there's a risk of injury, but you can get injured in all sorts of stupid ways in training or not.  And there were certainly a lot of supporters hoping the Samoan contingent would come through unscathed.  Plus the Tongan and Georgian (although he scarcely gets to play for us and yet can turn out against Wales).  We are supposed to have a squad that can cope with these things although I think that isn't true of the front five.

I don't think Bristol's front five is the strongest in this league but they're back row is good enough for the AP. we all know how good their backs are. on the training session with Bath I can see why it was arranged, Pat Lam probably wanted to expose his players to playing at a higher intensity. hopefully they don't bring their A-Game against Donny otherwise it could be messy. Bristol seemed to have kicked into gear in the last 5 or 6 games, I felt sure they'd lose some matches after the 1st 3/4 games but can't see them losing any games now, the only hope I would say of someone defeating them is Ealing at Vallis Way. hopefully Donny actually turn up this weekend.

I am going to the Nottingham v Jersey match tomorrow evening and I was wondering what catering facilities will be available at the ground. Any advice will be welcome.

We have a good bar in the marquee, I believe there are also pies for sale in there which I’m told are excellent (I’m following Slimming World so I’ve never tried them!) There is also a van which sells the usual fare- burgers, chips, hot drinks.
Forever proud, always missed and never forgotten.. 050910-080214. ❤️

Actually we could bring a picnic but lobsters & champagne don’t travel well in the hand luggage.
