Unlike our team I could not leave work early so I am down to the Sun Inn to watch the game
We will play the side that they put against us whoever they pick

Richmond’s game plan seems to be relying on their organised defence and looking to box kick all the time. Only problem is they are lacking their organisation and feeding Prothoroe a fast full back to run it back.

Looking like Hartpury will get the bonus, so Richmond need to try and get one or two themselves.

Richmond seemed to lack a cutting edge in attack.

Watched some of the game and notice they didn’t mention Hartpurys loan policy until afterwards but managed to mention that George Edgson was on loan to Rich from Ealing.

Looks like our fellow rugby supporters at Mond are well and truly in the proverbial relegation battle, after this game.

I suppose the pro game and semi pro game was defined in this result in the Championship.

It was quite amusing, that in tonight's West Midlands Today programme, Hartpury's plight was put entirely down to their being a semi-pro side.
No mention of the half-a-squad of pro players.
No mention of their being taxpayer-funded.
Stinks.

Just a ridiculous situation , I am sure if any Nat 1 side could have 11 prem
Loan players in their starting 15 they would hold their own in
The championship. Noticeably none of the discarded Hartpury players even turned up to support the ringers !!! Says it all.
Run with it

I didn't manage to watch the game unfortunately, but sounds as though Mond had an off night against a 'bolstered' Hartpury side. Unfortunately for Mond it is not a 6 Nations weekend, otherwise you would have thought that not as many of the 'loan' players would have been available. 2 team race for relegation now, but please, do not let it be decided on hired help.

Do you know how many or is that comment just another throw away . The occasional fact might be useful. They have a well documented tie up with Leicester Tigers. Is the team filled with Leicester Tiger Academy players ? if so how many on any given National One match day.
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff.

I’ll be happy if Bedford lose to Richmond later on in the season if it means we get to see the back of Hartpury. What’s even their motivation for wanting to stay in the division? Also, if they’ve dropped college from their name and can sign players like Qera who have no affiliation to the college why on earth are they still entitled to government funds?

Looking at the remaining fixtures, Hartpury are probably slight favourites to survive.

Richmond's home games you would expect them to lose and then going away is always harder to pick up the victories.  It could come down to the Scottish games.

Richmond Hartpury
COVENTRY A Ealing Trailfinders A
EALING TRAILFINDERS H Nottingham H
NOTTINGHAM  A Jersey Reds A
JERSEY H Bedford Blues H
BEDFORD BLUES A London Irish A
LONDON IRISH H London Scottish H
LONDON SCOTTISH A Yorkshire Carnegie A
