there is still a chance that the battling birmingham and solihull team might beat the drop in Nat2s ?  not likely i'm afraid and their 5pt penalty mitigates against them.

it does seem likely that only one southern team will be relegated from nat1 again.....so it is indeed likely that another nat2n side will be level transferred......and it will be interesting to see who it is.

There is I think, a bizarre scenario which I referred to in a separate thread a couple of years ago......whereby B & S stay up in Nat2S.........ESher escape and 2 more Nat2 N sides must be level transferred as all three relegated sides are northern  ?

I am likely wrong.....but could Nat2S potentially have 3 northern sides next year.......and indeed, become more like another version of nat1 in terms of geographical spread in the longer term ?  if that is possible, then there are serious financial implications ?

just a thought

As the subject has been raised my personal pref would be Stour no offence to the other clubs but I met some great Rugby folk when we travelled to the Play-offs. Including the enigmatic Mrs Oliphant !!!!!
another one against the head

I would imagine that everyone at Hinckley's choice would be Stour as well!

Also depends on who comes up from Mids Prem
As it stands Scun-thorpe, as champions would be nailed on to go into North putting even more N2N clubs liable to head south
Runners up (assuming play-off won) means Newport, Lucs and Broadstreet would also be in the mix to head South
From North Prem Hull, as champions guaranteed to stay North, and looking like Blaydon, Billingham or Harrogate for the Play-Off again winner virtualy guaranteed to stay North
In summary there could be a few other clubs besides Hinckley & Stourbridge who need to start getting out their road maps and collecting a few more quid to pay for it all

Bearing in mind that Broadstreet were there last season, should they get into that position they would be favourites.

I think if you look at the numbers FP it could well be 3 or 4 heading south not just a toss up between Hinckley & Stour. If Hinckley are in the mix then so must be Lions, Sth Leics and Sheff Tigers (all assuming survival at N2)

If we stay up not sure where we (tigers) come into it ?????????

Hinckley are 72 miles south.
South 68 miles
Lions 66 miles

So amusing we are all in the league (which one of south, tigers and lions will go you would think) then we would be around 5th on the list !!! Aint going to happen !!!!

Sheffield in a southern National league ...... however we may get a home advantage ....... sure the southerners would love Dore More in January after a long journey LOLLOLLOLLOLLOLLOL bring your BRING YOUR BIG COAT GENTS (or 3 of them !!!)

I get what you're saying Tiger Dome but my point is you could ALL have to head south (or is next in line Chester or Wharfedale or Otley)

To be honest I would welcome it.

I have watched a lot of National 2 South in the last 3 years and think we would possibly be in the top 3 with maybe even promotion on the cards.

We would win all our home games as the cold would just destroy most teams ........ Have you ever been to Dore More ????? And pick some wins up on the road.

The only reason I say top 3 is Hinckley and Stour would also be there, so a big challenge when we meet them.

Bring it on ......... Stock the bar with Lemonade for the Shandy !!!!!!!

No doubt the Southerners would be issued with fur-lined jock straps for their trips to Dore More
However, on further examination I have to admit to getting a wee bit carried away - all ifs and buts and Maybe's but it looks like definitely 1 club to head south, worst case 2 depending on play off results etc
Sorry for causing alarm - you can now get back to your pint of mild and your whippets😂😂😂😂

No panic ...... change is as good as any, and you would have loved the pie with Hendersons relish !!!

Just got some more Coal to deliver before I go home to "Our lass" hang the flat cap up and get stuck into my pie and mushy peas.

I was getting all giddy then, I went to that London once and was hoping that I may be able to take a trip down where the streets are paved of gold, the smell of jellied eels linger in the air around all the gentlemen only private clubs.

Enjoy your drop of red, followed by only the finest port !!! Pat the Labrador for me when you get in.

Agree that does not seem likely but if we did stay up my understanding is that all clubs go back to their constituent league.  B&S would have to volunteer to go back to N2S but could not be made to if they were the club with the least milage as we were level transfered this season.
Life is a game but rugby is serious!

I wondered what that big clock was in the distance YT !!!!!

We have 90% of our squad signed up YT ........ The worrying thing for Hinckley is how are they going to get there boys to sign with all that travelling ?

Redruth ..... 4 hours 40 minutes in a car so 5:30 on a bus ish
Taunton ....... similar
That is without chucking in Guernsey

Sure the players will all hold fire to see where they are before signing ? Which could mean they lose some, or some would not find new players.

Mind you suppose its only like National 1.
