The two clubs are not merging in the foreseeable future. Talks have been held between officials of both clubs without any real progress made. If, and it's a BIG if, anything does come of the discussions the news will be announced in a proper and appropriate manner.
In the meantime rumour will be just that, but sufficient to occupy Yogi and Sid throughout the summer.
It's only a game

BP Youth,

At last, a voice of reason from Brantingham Park who tells it as it really is.
Please have a word with your colleague from the 'Carry On' series and ask
 him to follow your example.
I will not be discussing proceedings with him during the summer, because
there will nothing to discuss, other than going over old ground, and old lies.

Just to correct you on a couple of points BP Youth,
Talks have been held between officials of Hull Ionians and Sponsors of Hull. Progress has been made, but time is against us for next season hence the postponement.

I agree that Yogi and I will continue to disagree but that is down to his denial rather than rumour.

BP Youth, and anyone else who is interested.
Your version concurs more with the Hull RUFC reps version.
It is becoming increasingly obvious that anything Sid says must be considered at least doubtful.
