I don't think so, no.  If you look at the lists of players you can broadly group them into half a dozen categories:
  • players developed by the club who subsequently stepped up to the Premiership and played for their country
  • overseas players (particularly from the Pacific Islands and the Americas) who were already capped before moving to the UK
  • former internationals looking for a contract having been released by their Premiership employers
  • short-term loans for teenagers who are being fast-tracked by academies into the national set-up
  • season-long loans/ DR for academy players who may not be expected to make it at Premiership level
  • short-term loans for established internationals on the naughty step
I mean, it's slightly laughable to claim that Mat Tait was a Nottingham player - 40 minutes in a B&I Cup match against Stirling County which doesn't even feature in the stats table on his Wiki profile.

It might be laughable but he fit the criteria for this bit of fun.

I'm going to look on the board at Mond tomorrow for the post 1996 internationals to see if I can make a team, if I have time.

Sorry if I sound like a spoilsport!  But does he really help to demonstrate that the Championship is a fantastic breeding ground for future internationals?  I'd argue not Wink

You will not be able to the board shows only players that were playing for Richmond when they played for their country
Thus Bobby Skinstad is not on the board
as Ronnie Maclean Dent is not

Aw shucks. I knew about those two though. Skinstad went to the same school as my brother, although somewhat later.Maybe there are enough on the board for a team.
