Is there a serious point to this thread or it is just another example of the rubbish some posters reveal in.

You have until tea time to prove it makes a valid rugby point or it goes....

At least the onians had the opportunity to play and lose 8 games in national one something that dourbrige have paid hundreds of thousands to achieve and have failed at the last hurdle more than once! Some would say bottled it!

Short memory me thinks.

Seriously though, any danger of any rugby talk?

Predictions are certainly going Hull Ionians way. On current form Stour could pinch this one, the hunger is certainly there amongst the players. We have had some terrible luck with player injuries, but so have other clubs too. Unfortunately won't be able to make the game, but will be nervously checking the twitter feed! Best of luck to both sides, I'm sure it will be a hard fought game.

This game could well be closer than many expect. Stourbridge select the pretty much the same team as last week with only two players missing, both positions covered by players off the bench from the previous week. So a fairly settled side.
Ionians have yet to select their team but it is unlikely there will be many changes, though the bench is likely to be stronger than the one at Luctonians. Sam Wilson is now fit and top points scorer Isaac Green, Joe Martin and Rob Kench are likely to come into contention. A good debut performance from Lucas Birch in the back row last week gives further options. It could be some time before the black smoke rises tomorrow.
It has the potential to be a belter. I's sit top of the pile and being at home will be full of confidence. Stourbridge have been there, done it, and are hitting some form so will not be fazed  by the experience. Forget the hubris from the idiots on here, there is respect for the opposition on both sides and whatever happens this game won't determine anything.
It's only a game!?!

Stourbridge will be motivated to right a perceived wrong. Ionians will be motivated to prove those perceptions wrong. Going to be close one and a good afternoon.

The percieved wrong wasn't Ionians but the officiating at the Worthing game with the referee determined to carry on playing till Worthing scored! (After a Knock on!)

With all due respect to Stourbridge supporters, as a neutral I think you will be no where near the home side, score wise, come the final whistle. Cry
If Rugby is the game they play in Heaven ..... Why does it hurt like Hell when you retire?

OP - with respect, you must have been watching a different game against Worthing. The officiating was spot on, either side could have won as the lead changed hands 7 times. It is long gone, move on.

Puli - we have moved on a bit since you last saw us, you might be surprised.

Hoffette - get well soon, I will try to text scores to you.

Looking forward to a great game, wouldn't miss it for anything.

I was there and thought it a great game, as a neutral. The difference was that Worthing played for the full 80 minutes. Stour won the first 2 minutes with and amazingly powerful start. Worthing won the last two with a never say die attitude. QED promoted. Great game to watch.

I'm with Puli, this one will be a straightforward 5 pointer for Hull Ionians. Stourbridge clearly have got their act together but talk it up all you want, the gulf between the top and the middle of the table will be apparent come tea time Saturday.

You're right Gatecrasher, the question which remains unanswered until is "are Stourbridge falsely in mid-table?". After a dreadful start dominated by poor performance and injuries (can't stand that excuse but when you finish a game with 12 fit players.....), it's now starting to look like Stour have rediscovered a bit of form and have a few players back.

I don't know if Caolan Ryan is in the side for Sat, but he basically won the game for us last week, will be a big miss once he goes back to Mose.

I fancy Ionians to score 4 tries or more, it's what they do (or don't) at the other end that will decide the result.

Mildly positive from you Ste vo, have you been drinking again. Are you bothering to make the trip..... Unlikely I guess, as Stourton Park is sometimes a bridge too far
