I note the Tykes message board is down for 'update'
The other boards on the platform are still up.
It may mean nothing.

London Irish, Wasps, Newcastle and Exeter also currently unavailable.  It's just because Sport Network insist on a new front page news story being posted every two weeks, and during the summer months there's nothing to write about.

While they haven't exactly covered themselves in glory recently I'm sure the FCA would be involved if this was a 'normal' business
Sadly the RFU pontificate from high for clubs to exist within their means or below a threshold, but they do not have enough staff to monitor/ manage this.

The RFU cannot keep to their budgets hence the cost-cutting mess they are currently in, so to pontificate to clubs would seem a bit off

Why I can understand people comparing this to London Welsh there is a major difference LW went into Liquidation which basically meant the club ceased to be. Leeds have a CVA which means they can continue to trade albeit under certain restrictions. As to the Leagues re structures that have been mentioned the deadline for that was 14th June I believe that this did not happen so as matters stand looks like there will be relegation from the Championship .

True. To a point.
Several clubs' SN sites never seem to be taken down even if they don't update for months on end ( and it's a bone of contention on the SN 'user's' internal forum, which sadly SN just ignore. Like most complaints thereon). This applies to both rugby and footy sites.
Ex are currently down. Wasps have been down four or five times this season (very irregular updating).
Quins, Sale, Wasps and Glaws seem to be giving up on it even though there are quite a few still hanging on on the Wasps site.
It's all very unsatisfactory, but nothing sinister - just laziness.
It doesn't take much to put up a few words on the News page once a fortnight.

Deadline for Premiership and Championship is 31 July.
June 1 is the deadline for all other leagues - hance the SW Premair having 15 clubs.
If a club pulls out of thetop two leagues between June 1 and August 1 then Nat 1 goes ahead with 15.

Leeds do not have a CVA, they are proposing one.
We still await the decision of the creditors.
It may yet be rejected. In which case liquidation may become inevitable, as the company is by definition insolvent.

As I understand it

All Rugby debts have to be settled (in full?)

The contracts of the remaining foreigners recruited last year exceed this year's budget so unless they agree to terminate their contracts or take a savage haircut then Leeds will be insolvent.

Is that the correct situation?

Just seen another YC player has jumped ship.

Scrum-half Wolstenholme joins Wasps.

If the creditors don't agree they are insolvent. Rugby creditors have to be paid in full though, which means, amongst others, players. If one believes the Yorkshire Post that's a million pounds.
The difference with LW is just timing.

And lo, and behold - the Wasps site has gone down again. Couldn't make it up.

I agree to a point. But there is somewhat a difference between missing your budget and being extremely close to not existing anymore.

Not defending the shocking management at the RFU but since YC don't have their own ground the assets were their academy and their players.

I suppose it's possible that YC were confident of new investment and for whatever reason it fell through, but the RFU has to be far more proactive both in managing their own affairs and the clubs/leagues they purport to represent
