Has Promotion / Relegation is staying the same at the end of this season, if Leeds finish bottom they will be Relegated. BUT, what's the odds on them, if struggling, finding enough money to bring in 6 Martians and 4 Venusians to help avoid the drop. This doesn't sound any more Far Fetched that what's happened already.

Martians are good in the lineout but no use in the tight. That's just gravity for you.

'New appointments to the Board of the Operating Company will be announced soon.' I hope the individuals concerned know what they are doing!

Wow! that is scathing and coming from a player holds gravitas IMHO. So, unless I am mis-reading something, am I correct in thinking that YC have got away without any sanction whatsoever? not even a points reduction for last season or this? and yet creditors are left out of pocket. So what is there to stop all teams who are finding the purse strings a little tight at the moment from doing the same thing?

So the players were misled, according to Mr Mayhew. This is quite serious. He should take legal advice.

Dosn’t matter they will get enough and then use loans/dr.

The problem remains how will Leeds raise a squad (not just a team) that will be competitive in the Championship.
Yes they may get some D/Rs from Premiership clubs. Will they prize any players away from local Championship rivals bearing in mind Leeds can only pay part time wages?
We would have heard on this forum if there had been significant defections from local N1 and N2 clubs. In any case there is a big difference in player size between C`ship and N2. Ditto Leeds Uni students - there would be player safeguarding issues playing too many 18/19 year olds and N2 players in the C`ship
I doubt even if they could afford it they could not recruit from the Southern hemisphere following what we have read today.

Yes the RFU is putting some cash in but where will they find significant sponsorship given that  Leeds/Yorkshire/Carnegie/Tykes is a confused and now toxic brand.

It gives me no pleasure but I fear the game is up.

Has the RFU read Mr Mayhew's contribution? And where does the Rugby Players' Association stand in all this?

Pretty sure it mentions if Mike Williams goes to Leedshire he'll come off Bath's salary cap.......great so I assume that means Bath can pay someone else to come in? Meanwhile players contracted last season at Leeds still waiting on payment. Madness.

I can see Leedshire suddenly signing a shed load of Saracens players to get them off the Premiership club's salary cap on the basis that they are available for any Leedshire game played between midnight and six am. Of course Leedshire would receive a healthy fee for their connivance (sorry assistance) bearing in mind they would never play for them.

Whoever Leeds beg or borrow to fill their match day squads I'd be very surprised if they exceed the number of players that Hartpury borrowed last season. As this all appears to be sanctioned by the laws/regs and no one seems bothered to change the laws/regs it seems likely that another club which adopts the more conventional approach of recruiting a playing squad at the start of the season will follow Richmond into Nat 1. Donny & Scottish (both proper teams imo) were 9th & 10th last season just above Hartpury & Richmond.

Did not read RFU regulations himself but now complains about "not being told" things.  If it means that much to him why did he not look it up himself?  If he engaged someone on his behalf he should be complaining to them not Leeds.

He would not have received any payments yet, that's not how CVAs work.

And let's say he had voted no. Well done pal you've destroyed the club, single handed, and definitely wouldn't get any money then.  Leeds would have been relegated, gone into liquidation and you'd have got less than from the CVA.
