Off stream but you should ask Little Stoke Parish Council in South Glos who brought about the demise of the Park Run by seeking to charge each runner to participate. One argument put forward was that running shoes damage the tarmac path!

Back ON STREAM how much do clubs playing in public parks pay and are they responsible for maintenance ?

Having stood on the gate at Sandbach on many occasions, we have never charged visitors from lower teams who happen to be playing on the same day as the firsts. This is community rugby FFS!

I seem to remember that this was an issue at Macc some years back but I'm guessing is ni longer a problem?

a little "off-topic", sorry but wasn't it Macc who tried charging visiting players for their after match meal ?

So half of these posts are boasting about how good their 'package' is and the other half are just sly criticisms of other clubs. Not really our best discussion in the season of goodwill....

How else do you have a discussion without pointing out the pro's & cons ?

Well I'll change that! Best wishes to all posters - even to those who are seemingly envious of/dislike our club! Happy 2018 to all!

Any discussion, outside of the prediction league (and Waterloo!), is a rarity it seems these days.
