It was always going to tough for Sale who had no skin in the game.
Cambridge simply needed the win more and were ruthless - if not flawless.
Thanks to Sale for making us welcome.
Their treasurer is one of the unhappiest tonight - as they lose a lucrative derby for another long haul game.

But it was terrible following the Moseley twitter feed as it seemed so many tries were lost to knock-ons / double movements and we were confident we would get the fourth try - even though it was a little while coming -but with the score 7-10 we needed one of you to score a try.

Best wishes to Caldy for next season, at least you  are not at risk of a level transfer. I am sure you will bounce.
I will get to the shack at some point.

And congrats to Fids on getting 100 caps - I must be getting old, as it seems only yesterday he was wearing blood and sand.

Glad to hear it, though I couldn’t be there. Commiserations to Caldy and hope to see you back soon. I know this was your first visit to us BE - despite the Circs I hope you liked us and would come back (in the right circumstances).

Caldy scored 62 points - as many as Redruth in 10/11.
No side has been relegated on more points.
Several have survived on less.
It is a measure of how close the sides have been this season.

Thanks to all the players who have entertained us this season - and roll on the next.
