Who are the big movers in the player roundabout? Is anybody putting a hat in the ring for favorites tag?

I can see that Gareth. The top 3 teams from last year still in this division were very strong. Wimbledon have come down after a severe thrashing in the league above and I suspect are rebuilding so I don't think they will have the same clout that Barnes had to bounce back.

The thing is that I can see Tring and Hertford possibly swapping players due to the proximity while if Tunbridge Wells keep their squad intact, which should be straightforward as there are no local teams near them at the same level given they are the only Kent club in this league, they could well push hard for a top 2 spot.

Chingford from what I have seen with their former East Grinstead players have the ability to give anyone a game at this level.

Tring and Hertford are not that close, in many ways!
Hertford have the former Shelford player Red Newberry training with them pre season, ready for a permanent move. A few Ealing squad boys are training as well and may be signed for a season as some of last season's Ealing loans have moved on. Harry the prop been offered a place at OA's and Ben, a good 9 and wing has gone to join Bishops Stortford after being part of the county squad. A good center, Aaron, has gone to coach at Eton Manor. So some changes, some stay the same and we will see what comes of the new season.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe,
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion,
I've watched C beams glitter in the darkness near the Tennhauser Gate,

I see via their twitter that Shelford have been busy. I guess wanting to avoid the late season drama from last season.
I had heard on the grapevine (that old dangerous thing but backed up by an announcement on their website) that Tring had a few money issues? I hope not as a good club that I wouldn't want to see struggle.

On the whole however, it's been rather quiet unusually for the South East.

Interesting to see people tipping Wells. They may not have any competition in regards to other Level 5 clubs in their immediate area but they have TJs just up the road who are looking to push on from their impressive first season (my local club) at Level 4 and of course OEs buying pretty much anyone from anywhere with their plan for Championship rugby.

Wimbledon will be looking for a strong season after coming down but have lost a few key players (both to OEs) including their captain from last year. But I suspect a top 4 finish at least for them. CS will benefit from their location and should attract players easily back at this level. As for the Essex clubs, I have literally no idea!

I think Brentwood will make their mark. They were the standout quality outfit in London 1 North last season.

I can't see TJs and Wells swapping players as the local rivalry may stand in the way. I believe there is a warm-up game again this year so we can see the difference in playing strength I guess. TJs won by 50 last Aug I think. I wish both teams luck for the season.

I think there may be more chance of 'The Donald' and Hilary getting a room together!

My top 3 not in order would be Hertford Tring Westcliffe with Tunbridge a close fourth. Not as strong a league as in recent years and no real standout big spenders. This could be a real dogfight all year

I reckon Wimbledon will be as strong as ever, as usual they are aggressively looking for players to bounce back up. My other two choices are Hertford and Westcliffe, with Civil Service upsetting a few dreams during the season but not finishing top 3.

I think Wimbledon have lost a lot of players to OEs and to Tonbridge but yes I forgot about them too. They replace Tunbridge Wells in my top 4

Looking forward to LSE Premier, be interesting to see how the relegated/promoted teams fair.

First time for Brentwood at this level but if they can take the kind of form they showed last season into the next few months they should consolidate their place in the league. Going to be tough.

Let's hope for some rain to soften the bone-hard pitches in time for the season.

It looks like Wimbledon have pre season warm up games against Tonbridge Juddians and Barnes both of which should be interesting matches
