Totally agree! Also to the Students who have graced the division in the last two seasons. It will be fascinating to see how they perform against Rosslyn Park next Saturday. It appears that they are rather struggling to finish this long season in the way they started it. I'm changing horses and backing Park to edge it.

And commisserations to Caldy who have competed fiercely throughout.

Not quite sure there Allan. Loughborough had two defeats in the first five games and only another two in the next twenty five.

And congratulations to Caldy. We were all kept interested without having to actually drink from the poisoned chalice.

I wish both Macc and Loughborough well in their games to come at the end of this season and next. If they take Nat League 1 by storm it will show the strength of N2N - Loughborough of course need to get over the second hurdle first.

Congratulations to Macclesfield on a fine display all season and with their second team winning the league ( not lost a game for the last 18 months) and Raging Bull Cup double a very successful season all round for the club. Just goes to show the strength in depth they have at this impressive  Cheshire club.

Best of luck to Loughborough Students next Saturday I'm sure they will make it a 'double ' for N2N for promotion to Nat 1. They have been good value and worth every penny this season.

A big thanks to Caldy who made this league exciting to the end best of luck next season, hopefully they will be in contention again.

Now a bit of willow & leather a few Pimms and soaring temeratures?Cool

Yes Congratulations to Macc, an excellent club, a well organised playing machine, driven superbly by Winney and the rather porky No 9, (Eaton I think).

Good luck at HQ and please carry the flag for Cheshire.

I thought I would pop along to that nice RFU website and see exactly when the play-off games are scheduled for. The greeting under the Fixture & Results menu is:-

"Fixtures & Results

While we complete the rollout and improvements to our new fixtures and results site, the famipippins apple system remains available and updated on these links:"

So I go to: fixtures/leagues/national leagues/national league play offs

where I am greeted with:

"National League Play Offs

Sorry, But there are no Fixtures to display"

What is really, really annoying is 'they' have correctly inserted a comma after "sorry", but then 'they' have spoilt it by using a capital B for "but".

Well done Macc

Looking forward to seeing Axe back at Park Lane next season, as long as he does not rip any dressing room doors off its hinges.

Great season all round for Macc with thier second XV winning the league and the Raging Bull Cup too.

All the best

Congratulations to Macc and good luck to The Students from the Westoe faithful.  What are the permutations of who will be coming down into, and rising up into N2N for 10/11 ?
Dave H - not sure about the capital T for Students !

Not sure of my east/west longitude, but which are the most northerly of Nuneaton, Rugby and Leominster?

Nuneaton is furthest north but the likelihood is that Midlands will have Nuneaton, Leicester Lions, Rugby Lions, Luctonians and either Loughborough or Ampthill (east of Milton Keynes), depending on whether Luffbra or Rosslyn Park are promoted.

So I agree with islander.
