It appears you are correct. The calendar on the OEs website lists the match for 1pm on Good Friday rather than March 17 when both teams are free.

Cov win the title if they get a 5 point win.

Cov currently have 114 points.
  • Darlington have 84 points, and with seven games left could theoretically score 35 more points, so could get to 119 points.
  • Ampthill have 82 points and have six games left, so could score 30 more points, so could get 112 points. They can no longer catch Coventry.
  • Plymouth have 79 points and have eight games left, so could theoretically score 40 more points, so could also get to 119 points.
Cov need do no more than equal their opponents total of 119 points if they have more wins than them.
  • To get to 119 points, Darlington would need to win all their remaining games, which would give them a total of 23 wins. One more win by Cov would give them 24 wins.
  • To get to 119 points, Plymouth would need to win all their remaining games, which would give them 22 wins. So, if Cov have 119 points they would beat Plymouth with their existing 23 wins.
So, five more points and one more win are enough, even if the best possible results for Plymouth and Darlington happened.

Sadly I can’t be at Caldy next week.

I believe if Coventry get 5 points they are champions - barring points deductions.

They would have 119 points and 24 wins.

I think DMP can reach 119 points and 23 wins.
And Plymouth can reach 119 points, but would only have 22 wins.

Everyone at Caldy is very much looking forward to Coventry's visit to Paton Field. It will be a big day for the lads in the match day squad and for the club as a whole.

There has been a few issue in recent weeks re 'infrastructure matters' with the most serious possibly being the water for the showers. It hasn't been the right side of lukewarm/tepid for a while and although our lads are used to it there are murmurings that it should be sorted before the Coventry game .......personally I think if Caldy's minis can deal with it it should be fine for Coventry.......

Can't wait........
