Lichfield v Bournville AW - a tight game in a mid table clash. Almost a local derby but going for the chocolate boys
Burton v Syston AW - Syston have been quietly upping their game of the last few weeks and this one will take the hosts by surprise
Derby v Broadstreet AW - Street starting to get their peanut together for a tilt at the title
Doncaster v  Bridgnorth AW - too much fire power from the visitors
Luctonians v Sheffield HW - there will have been a ton of water falling on Mortimer Park which the hosts will love
Newport v SKiwifruithorpe HW - game of the day. Close with only a losing bonus point in it
Nuneaton v Sandbach HW - Hoping that this is the goos Nuns side that turns up.

Week 19 results

Lichfield 22-28 Bournville (Fri)

Burton 11-27 Syston

Derby 18-55 Broadstreet

Doncaster 47-15 Bridgnorth

Luctonians 22-14 Sheffield

Newport 15-16 SKiwifruithorpe

Nuneaton 33-15 Sandbach

Friday’s floodlit game saw Bournville shut out their hosts, Lichfield, in the second half to take a big step towards safety. Syston won consecutive games for the first time this season with a bonus point win over Burton. Broadstreet travelled to Derby and played havoc on the artificial surface crossing the whitewash 8 times, moving themselves up to 3rd place in the table. Doncaster were predicted to win by a couple of the posters but the manner of their win will have taken even them by surprise. The win boost their survival chances whilst putting a big dent in Bridgnorth’s ambitions. They dropped 2 places and were leapfrogged by Luctonians who, despite leaking 2 late tries, were comfortable winners over Sheffield. Top of the table clash, saw the leaders, Scunny, squeek the narrowest of wins over Newport but the game was not without controversy, when the hosts were denied a try deemed to be held up by the referee. Nuneaton brought their “A” game as they dominated Sandbach for a bonus point win.

Harvey Mac fell off the pace as he forgot to post (best to do that in the first few weeks, my friend but all is not lost) whilst Bin Licker’s crystal ball went a bit murky this week. Meanwhile, as a result of getting both the Friday game and the Syston result correct, I have stretched out a few more points at the top of the table, whilst Friendly Prop manoeuvres himself into second spot. Bin Licker drops into third spot.
