Burton v Broadstreet AW - Broadstreet should have too much for the home team

Derby v Bridgnorth HW - Home side to make use of better knowledge of the surface

Doncaster v Bournville HW - Doncaster to make amends for last week's dreadful result

Lichfield v Sheffield HW - Lich will be confident of their ability at home

Luctonians v Scun-thorpe HW - anything less for the home side will put a serious dent in any promotion aspiration

Newport v Sandbach HW - 'port to make amends for last week's dreadful result

Nuneaton v Syston HW - Have Nun's become this season's dark horse?

Life is a game but rugby is serious!

Fully confident of a Bach win tomorrow in typical ‘Sandbach that’ fashion.

At Derby, Bridgnorth win with last play of the match. Probably deserve it with about 2/3 of the possession and having the better of scrum and line out, but Derby defended well throughout and were 19 - 5 up half way through the 2nd half.

Same at Newport - Sandbach 19-0 at ht with the wind, Port come back with Bach hanging on 22-21 with 15 mins to go, defence looked to have held for a much needed with but Port score with last play, good game.

Sorry for the delay, folks but my early autumn golf trip to Portugal intervened and some recovery time was required.

Week 6 results were
Burton 17-22 Broadstreet
Derby 21-24 Bridgnorth
Doncaster 17-33 Bournville
Lichfield 31-17 Sheffield
Luctonians 36-7 SKiwifruithorpe
Newport 28-22 Sandbach
Nuneaton 30-11 Syston

Burton managed to secure a losing bonus point as they run out losers to Broadstreet, which keeps them in touch with the leaders. Bridgnorth secure a last-play-of-the-game win over Derby who must have thought they had it in the bag with 5 minutes to go. Doncaster woes continue as they were unable to compete with the visitors from Brum, Bournville. Lichfield continued their good run of form with the 4-try bonus point in the bag before half time. Lucs were comprehensive victors over the former table toppers, Scun-thorpe. Newport were saved by a late Henry Vaka try as they were pushed all the way by Sandbach side, the result allowing the home side to take over at the top of the table. Nuns swatted aside win-less Syston to secure their 3rd successive win.

This week's top scorers are Pr10r, One for the Ditch and Lucky with 6 out of 7. Friendly Prop remains top of the table although his lead has been cut to a solitary point.
