Penda that is a good number of home grown. I was recently at a club where the blazers were moaning that they did not even recognise many of their own players so presumably very few home grown there!
Predictions

Derby v Burton H Derby pack beginning to rumble in the cold and wet. Home advan

Doncaster v Broadstreet A Donny troughing

Lichfield v Bridgnorth H Bubble to burst fancy Field at home

Luctonians v Bournville H Lucs but they have yet to hit their straps

Newport v Sheffield H Close, will Port start questioning their investments?

Nuneaton v Scun-thorpe A Tricky for Scunny but backing them to kick on

Sandbach v Syston H Bach on the up with all their home grown

Doncaster v Broadstreet AW - really not sure what has hapened at Donny

Lichfield v Bridgnorth HW - surprise of the day

Luctonians v Bournville HW - Lucs will need not to lose any of their home games to keep their hopes alive

Newport v Sheffield HW - 'port willbe to big and strong for the visitors

Nuneaton v Scun-thorpe AW - Scunny momentum to continue

Sandbach v Syston HW - Syston do seem to struggle with the pace of this league

Indeed, you have stolen my thunder FP. Burton were worthy winners, but the consolation for Derby was the 500+ crowd, 80 + pre-match meal, sold out of two of the real ales and all the BBQ food!!

Let's hope we can repeat to a certain extent with the Friday night game v Lichfield in November and maybe perform on the pitch this time as well!!

Maybe the best way to cope with this prediction mularky is to give every game your deepest thought, consideration and analysis and then go for the completely opposite result!!
Maybe next week!?!?

I take it then that you have nullified our learned friends' prediction from Burton?

Round 8 results were:

Derby 17-44 Burton

Doncaster 24-29 Broadstreet

Lichfield 34-31 Bridgnorth

Luctonians 40-10 Bournville

Newport 31-20 Sheffield

Nuneaton 17-24 Scun-thorpe

Sandbach 46-5 Syston

The Friday night showdown turned out to be a rather one sided affair. After a tight first half, Burton cut loose and ran away with the game to take the local bragging rights. Doncaster showed a bit of their old form being in control for much of the game. However a late surge by Broadstreet saw the visitors take the spoils. Lichfield provided the surprise of the day beating Bridgnorth who had previously won 6 on the bounce. Luctonians’ comprehensive win over Bournville keeps them in touch with the leaders. Newport controlled the game against Sheffield despite being pushed to the end by the visitors. This win lifts them back into second in the table. Leaders Scun-thorpe had to hold off a competitive Nuneaton side after being in control of the 1st half. Sandbach had a regulation win over basement side, Syston.

Only Club1870 called the Friday night game but was broadsided by Lichfield's success so once again we have no full houses. However, Bin Licker’s 7 pointer sees him pull out a 1 point lead at the top of the prediction league. He was joined with 6 out of 7 right by Club1870 and yours truly.
