There is a final game to be played in the league this Saturday

Birmingham & Solihull -v- Newport

For a bit of fun we can also predict

Hull -v- Peterborough Lions (no points on this)
Life is a game but rugby is serious!

Bees v Newport Away
Hull v Lions Home
I think this game will show the relative strengths of the two regional leagues and for me whilst Lions may have had a chance at home I think up there it will be Hull by 20/25 points
Biased as I'm a northerner myself and could be wrong (usually am!)

Bees v Newport.   HW (assuming Bees still interested)
Hull v PL.   HW (agree that this will illustrate Northern league is generally stronger - hence I expect more offers from the more southerly to level transfer to N3M than there will be vacancies and nobody being forced to move... unlike any potential N3M clubs needing to move further South)

Birmingham v newport home
Hull v Peterborough home
Would think hull far more interested in promotion than York’s cup
Best wishes to everyone have a great summer roll on sept.
Hope we don’t get levelled back northwards

That may well happen Rdh160!
It looks odds on at the moment that Broadstreet & Luctonians will be returning to Mids Prem
Sounds like you would rather stay so in your interests for Peterborough to win the play-off which I think would make you odds on to stay and with Sheffield coming down they would get the nod ahead of Donny Phoenix as they are obviously closer to the Midlands - it would be Donny who go back north
If Hull win the play-off then probably two to go north and that would be two from Sheff, Donny & Bach
Complicated or what?

My recollection of the level transfer rules is that once a team has been transferred out of their 'normal' league they are guaranteed a second season in their new league unless they are either promoted or relegated. I'm sure this applies to RFU imposed level transfers, not certain if it does to voluntary moves. So, if I'm right, Donny will be guaranteed a second season in Midlands Prem if they want it, having only moved this season.

In conversation with the Donny Phoenix officials at our home game they were saying that they had stated to the RFU they wanted to stay in Midlands Premier league.

Certainly being in Midlands Premier, travelling is easier for us being on the M6 and in the Southern end of the Region as well as the relationships we have built up over the last 4/5 years.

If Luctonians get relegated (which seems likely) then it would require Lions to win for both Sandbach and Doncaster Phoenix to be able to stay. In the event that Lions lose on Saturday, and both the "north"sides want to stay in the Midlands Premiere, is the decision to level transfer still done on milage travelled?

In theory yes but if the "2 year rule" outlined previously in this thread is correct then Donny would take precedence over Bach even though they would obviously qualify on mileage
Sheffield will also come into the equation (they will automatically be returned to North but may express a desire to re-join the Midlands again)

Bees v Newport - hugely depleted Bees squad due to weddings, suspensions, injuries and stag do's but can't go against my own team

Hull v Lions - backing our league despite Lions away ("Lions, Lions, Lions")

I believe that if Sandbach (or any other club) were to volunteer that would take precedence.
Not sure what would happen if Tynedale in a moment of madness volunteered to transfer to Nat2S or Billingham to Midlands Premier.

Camquin,

What if both Sandbach AND Doncaster Phoenix volunteered for level transfer and there was only one "vacancy"?

Goes to club with least mileage to cover.

Sandbach were always least miles by some margin (in the past) so if your situation Camquin were to occur I'd say it pretty likely that Bach would get the nod.

Someone has already made the point that there is a 2 year clause on "volunteered" level transfers so if true Donny would take precedence over Bach

Regular squad depleted by 50%, but I still feel in my water it will be Bees to take the plaudits.

With my record of predicting this is my final attempt this season.
Bees v Newport (Salop) AW. Heavily depleted squad with players missing, injuries, suspensions and weddings the reason for the loss it'll also depend on the weather.

Hull v Lions HW 'Ull will be too strong for Lions this week, although I do wish the Lions all the very best in their efforts.
