According to Cobblers post on another thread I had better go for some predictions as Derby is looking like the Caribbean! Plus I still have aspirations to lift the Prediction Trophy (Is there one? Hope its big and silver and looks nice on the mantlepiece!!)
So all HOME wins for me except Bess v Newport AWAY
(Bees not as convincing post-Christmas and last chance saloon for Newport if they are to put any pressure on Lions for second spot

Lions ground currently frozen and under snow, temp not forecast to get above freezing until Sunday. Suspect game will fall victim to the weather.
You’ve got to get your first tackle in early, even if it’s late

Doesn't bare (bear??) thinking about, I've met Bess before I think - what's it looking like at Portway and what about that Prediction trophy - you must be getting your Brasso (do they still make that stuff?) out in anticipation

Portway is distinctly frozen rock hard and looking very doubtful. Pitch inspection at 3pm I believe snow fall permitting. What's it like around Newport? Will the journey be challenging?

Tomorrows game at Portway has been called off due to frozen piches and no prospect of the conditions  changing to alter that

Beaten by the Beast from the East. lets hope that's the only time that happens this season Smile

Sunny Scunny pitch inspection 10am tomorrow. Let's get it on. Sun is on the pitch, snow is melting as long as it doesn't freeze hard tonight we should be on. Watch this space.

I can now confirm the above message the game is off. Pitch is in perfect nick albeit covered in snow. Taking everything into account though players and spectators welfare and the ambient temperature there is no chance of the snow clearing. So it's lunch and an afternoon in the bar pity it's not a 6 Nations weekend.

Oh come on Harvey, we ain't that bad.... ;-)

It's our well honed strategy of deliberate inconsistency that keeps this prediction league interesting.

I rest my case
