Maybe I should be flattered, but it surprises me that you haven't got anything better to do than trawl these forums in search of each and every opportunity to snipe at me almost as much as it does that you're not capable of producing a list of my recent posts, which would have told you that I'd posted two days before your "contribution".

I'm not sure who or what I'm meant to bite, given the healthy contingent of Cornish players on the Pirates' books, I'd have thought that any bites are likely to come from further west than me! In the semi-pro game, it's hard to disagree with the statement given that both of Cornwall's England Counties representatives play for Albion, although I would substitute "best" for "good". Anyone who plays National League rugby is a good player to my mind.

Hmmmm

I'd be surprised if many clubs report accurate figures since, on my travels, even those clubs who've come down from higher levels appear to lack robust control over who gets in and for how much...

Quite understandable really as there's a strong incentive to under report gates since HMRC estimate VAT on ticket sales from 'reported' gates should there be no ticket sales system Big smile

Interesting to read that DMP home games will kick off at 2pm because the Sharks are in the new Elite Women's Competition and the stadium will likely host many doubleheaders. Because their last two games are on the road, this won't have to change for the season finale.

Would have though that 2pm makes sense when you're that close to the Arctic Circle Wink - makes pre-match lunch a bit of an early starter with speeches and all .......
