Not just money in the clubs coffers, (all though it is difficult to get big gates if your club is surrounded by Premiership sides) for amateur or semi pro players job opportunities seem to be better the closer you get to the M25 area.

Hopping Mad
I have often wondered about the 2 consecutive home/2 consecutive away games but I was educated as to why quite recently Mathematically it is impossible to fulfil the fixtures without doing so Week 1 will have 8 teams at home and 8 away obv! If each team alternated home/Away/home/Away etc etc then teams in the same group would never be able to play each other unless you had the consecutive 2 home/2 Away - Simples! It's the same throughout the pyramid in leagues with even numbers That obviously gets disrupted with postponements but has to be done when the fixtures are originally scheduled to fit them into the programme Hope that makes sense!?!? |

Whilst that may be true of Midlands sides (Leicester, Coventry & Northampton) it hardly applies to the North. Have to agree re jobs around London area, however against that accommodation costs are at least double down south - once attracted these players have to live somewhere! |

Finkel -
Fact of the day - is Val's 2nd name Berger? As the Fixture Template used would be the RFU's 16 Team Home & Away Berger Matrix in fact all the RFU Fixture Template as known as Berger Tables/Matrices. |

A very competive league. I remember Sandal being 3rd at Christmas 3 years ago and got relegated on 60 points.
A big injury list didn't help. |

I wasn't present, but it seems that Leicester Lions are starting to knit together as a team and the win at the weekend was a sign that this new side are beginning to turn a corner at home. Looking at the league, it seems there's still a long way to go as it is still difficult to predict a winner in each game.

I ave been bullied on here by certan posters but if i ave to ask sedge who wit the biggest budgets in the league bar no why put up with such a poor pawpawe outfit I av asked many time this but speaking to sp insiders yesterday at game it seems all is not good. The coach wants away as he’d on upward plan. Players picking themselves, but worse poor management at the top wit a cull about to take place aboot time sp insides say

Given the fact that the league is very unpredictable to say the least what are peoples current view of the points that will be needed to avoid relegation this year. 60 has always been the benchmark but not sure this year?

Nat 2 North is certainly providing some entertainment trying to predict scores, we are starting to see some groups forming now, with one or two starting to slip and one or two starting to find some rhythm and putting together some results, boring it certainly isn't. Not rash enough to make any predictions yet, apart from the odd individual making some more rash statements lol.

I think probably but I doubt it. You should have seen some of my PMs (from NR) last and earlier this season 😂😂😂😂.
Anyway Ionians to go up. Chester (DD is right) second but the travel south for the playoff will be far too much for the best side I’ve seen in NL2N this season. Down for me Peterborough Lions however I think they will quickly bounce back. I loved their attitude at Park Lane. Very sadly but most definitely the Macc Lads and most probably South. But what do I know All the best ST Edited by Sedge Tiger - 27 Jan 2019 at 20:52 |

I still have the same opinion as to how the season will end, but the way things are going it'll be closer than I thought at the top. Hudds look good for a strong push but are yet to visit Hare Lane, as do Ionians and Otley. We've also got some tough away days at Wharfedale and Hinckley to contend with. Still think Macc will survive the drop, no idea at who's expense though! |

DD
The game is all about opinions, and I greatly respect yours DD and everyone’s for that matter. However our last away game between Macc and Sedge was shocking fare from both sides. Least forgetting the match report that tried ‘rightly’ and played it up to be a ‘real nail biter’ it was in reality and sadly a very poor game played by one side very much lacking in confidence, direction and aggression (it just won’t come together) and one team very courageous and full of passion, pride and energy, but lacking in quality in the right areas which would hurt others. The nature of the league this season for me sees Macc going down. Sorry The Macc Lads. Right that’s the Kiss of death dealt. They will now go on an unbeaten run and finish mid table.😀😂😂 I hope so. Good luck to all teams in the second half of the season. Who knows what will happen All the best ST Edited by Sedge Tiger - 27 Jan 2019 at 20:51 |
