Sad news from S&E.  Very sorry to hear it.

Barnes 1-5 Hertford
Potentially cracking.  Hertford haven't lost since September...
Guernsey 1-5 Tunbridge Wells
Sooner or later someone's going to do it...
Guildford 4-1 Southend Saxons
G's solid at home
Shelford 1-4 Dorking
Dorking don't travel well, but I fancy them for this
Tring 5-0 Sutton & Epsom
Too much from Tring
Westcliff 5-0 Sidcup
Sidcup need a result here.  I don't see them getting it
Westcombe Park 1-4 Towcestrians
If you ignore the Barnes match Tows were starting to roll a bit before Christmas

Most interesting matches of the day Barnes vs Hertford and WP vs Tows.  Raiders vs TW will be closer than everyone expects... (hopefully)!!!

Barnes 5-2 Hertford  - this is a going to be a cracker...Hertford have not lost since they played us the last time...time to do the double... if the game goes ahead of course...ground is very very wet and it is usually well-drained
Guernsey 4-1 TW - TW ran us very close at their place before the break but they won't win at Fortress Guernsey, it will be closer than many of you have predicted
Guildford 4- 1 Guildford to win at home..not sure what all these rumours are, so ignoring them and looking at form
Shelford 1-4 Dorking  - Dorking to build on improving first half of the season
Tring 5-0 S&E  - Tring very tough to beat at home on Mount Tring and I tihnk S and E will have a very tough 2nd half of the season
Westcliff 4-1 Sidcup - I am going with previous home form here, but another close one in store
WP 2-5 Towcestrians  - Tows to upset WP... WP set for tough second half of the season too

I phrased it badly - nothing that hasnt already been mentioned on the forum elsewhere, relating to most of Committee being forced out just before Xmas, and the knock-on effects that has had.

Incidentally, Southend have won 2 of their last 5 and Guildford havent won any so its not such a stretch to believe the Essex side can win at G's.

HNY to all.

Barnes 1-4 HERTFORD - 'Mud and Guano'. Memories of Fran Cotton. Hertford to win it up front.
GUERNSEY 5-1 Tunbridge Wells - Raiders chasing title will have just too much
Guildford 1-4 SOUTHEND SAXONS - Saxons usually save their best till the last. Gritty battle ahead.
Shelford 1-5 DORKING - 3G pitch will suit D's, BUT a few missing at a Wedding!!! in Australia.
TRING 5-0 Sutton & Epsom- Tough trip for Sutts with Tring still in full flow.
WESTCLIFF 5-0 Sidcup - My anti-post tip Cliff are still in with a shout. Cup are erratic. Tough visit.
WESTCOMBE PARK 4-1 Towcestrians - Its now or never for Park. Tows could surprise many.??

Looks like a fine day for rugby with all at stake as we turn for home. Hoping for a good 2018 for all.

Thats the first win since the Committee was replaced en masse, against the team 2nd from bottom in the league. I would wait until nearer the end of the season before you judge the impact it has or hasn't had.

Thumbs Up

Cornish also struggling for some form?  Perhaps they need some change to get a win?

"Committee was replaced en mass"  A vote was held, and a new board was voted in.

"against the team 2nd from bottom in the league" Can only beat who's put in front of you.

"before you judge the impact it has or hasn't had" Your daily mail headline is boring and bears no relevance to the same group of players and coaches.

Continuity has worked very well at Cornish for the last 15 seasons fortunately!

Interestingly approach as a retort!

I didn't see the relevance of the Cornish reference? I heard the board at Guildford was replaced "en masse" at your AGM, a fact that Dickon correctly reported, but short term I don't expect it to effect on field activities. But it'll be interesting to see how the new committee (Mini and Junior bias) deal long term with the senior club. They are safe in LSE Prem this season, they just need to plan the long term now.

The Southend game match report sounds like once Gs got the bonus point then went into auto drive and let them back into the game. I'm sure that has nothing to do with the AGM though!!
Rucks and mauls may bust my balls, but whips and chains excite me!!

Westcombe Park have just appointed a new DOR mid season and with two consecutive wins they're not giving up without a fight. It looks like the coaching team have been given a justified shake up with immediate results.
