I went to Hoe Lane yesterday and i am almost certain that I watched the winners of the league this season, and I am not talking about Hertford. Apart from some missed tackles in the first quarter which allowed Hertford to score 3 Try's, Guernsey were very impressive.
Tring had an impressive win away at Tunbridge Wells, I am not sure if there are any Tring supporters on here but I would like to ask them if at the beginning of the season, they really thought they would be challenging for promotion?
Barnes are also putting pressure on the top 2 with a good win at Dorking, whilst Westcliff are stringing together some very good results.
Although Guildford lost to Sidcup, they have more bonus points than any other team.

Congratulations to Dickon, this weeks top scorer with 22 points.

Please make your predictions for next weeks matches below.

I watched a very one sided game at Westcliff on Saturday. Unlucky at times, nothing went right for WP and they just never got a foothold in the game.

Barnes 5 - 0 Southend Saxons (Cant see even the vastly improved Saxons getting much joy here).
Guernsey 5 - 0 Dorking (Tough trip as we all know).
Guildford 0 - 5 Westcliff (Westcliff keen to shut the annoying bell ringer up if the other G’s fans haven’t already done so).
Shelford 5 - 0 Sidcup (Close call, but Shelford to widen the gap back to relegation zone).
Towcestrians 0 - 5 Tunbridge Wells (TW acquited themselves well against top sides lately).
Tring 5 - 0 Hertford (Toughest decision for me this week as haven’t seen Hertford play yet this season).
Westcombe Park 0 - 5 Sutton & Epsom (I think S&E will move the ball quickly and the WP forwards are not the most mobile.

I saw the Hertford/Guernsey game too and agree whole heartedly with Fatty. Very very impressive team Guernsey have and they really must be congratulated for the way they turned 21-10 into 21-34, even though we helped by kicking the ball repeatedly down their full back or wingers throat. People around me were trying to remember the last time Hertford conceded so many at home and couldn't. We were also wondering, perhaps mischievously, how many are Guernsey lads, but whatever.

Barnes -v- Southend Saxons   5-0     Barnes too good.
Guernsey -v- Dorking             5-0     A shock if Dorking get close to be honest.
Guildford -v- Westcliff             0-5     Westcliff hanging on to the top groups coat tails.
Shelford -v- Sidcup                 5-0     Shelford don't lose on the plastic.
Towcestrians -v- Tunbridge Wells   0-5    TW too good for Towcester
Tring -v- Hertford                   1-4     Tight, niggly, and a must win for Hertford or we can all head for the summer.
Westcombe Park -v- Sutton & Epsom   1-4   Not convinced, either team could win.

IMHO Guernsey have been building to this position for several years now and following the Jersey model. Not sure if they have the same level of financial backing as their neighbours, but no doubt they certainly have the ambition. I am just hoping for a repeat of a recent visit. Guernsey v Dorking 50-45. What a game and what a weekend.

Watched an awful game at Sutton over the weekend, less said about it the better !

Barnes 5 v 0 Southend Saxons. Barnes to run riot amongst the goose crap
Guernsey 5 v 0 Dorking. Guernsey emerging as favourites and seemingly unbeatable at home.
Guildford 1 v 4 Westcliff. Westcliff to grind out a win away from home.
Shelford 5 v 1 Sidcup. Shelford will be relieved to be back on plastic.
Towcestrians 1 v 5 Tunbridge Wells. Wells to win comfortably, but Tows will give it a go and score a few.
Tring 5 v 2 Hertford. Match of the day, Tring heading for the play offs.
Westcombe Park 2 v 5 Sutton & Epsom. Sutton to continue gifting the opposition with tries, but also managing to score more themselves.

I suspect T Wells to only get stronger in the run in. New hooker and apparently a prop coming in?

Barnes 5 - 0 Southend Saxons - Barnes beginning to play some decent but still patchy ...players beginning to return from injury and harder grounds will give the boys renewed energy in the run in
Guernsey 5 - 0 Dorking 5-0 - big win here for the home team, Dorking have a poor away record this season having only won 1/7 and Guernsey is not a place to go to with that form
Guildford 0 -5 Westcliff - Westcliff have the bit between their teeth right now and are gathering momentum for a strong run in
Shelford 5-2 Sidcup - impossible game to predict with these two sides, have already changed the result three times, even considered a high scoring draw, I feel more inclined to a home win, lots of trys....probably!
Towcestrians 0 -5 Tunbridge Wells - TW so often the nearly side in recent weeks will not disappoint this week
Tring 5 - 2 - Hertford can’t lose three on the bounce...or can they? How much will the defeat to Guernsey have taken out of them? When I started this sentence I though Hertford but as I reach the end I think Tring, home advantage, the hill, the passion and Hertford’s loss last week all too much for them.
Westcombe Park 0 - 5 Sutton & Epsom - S&E to emerge victorious, WP in a precarious position before this game, will not pleased with where they are it.

Old DOR was only appointed this season. Head Coach and a DOR ( or 2) ?. League position possibly reflecting the behind the scenes confusion.

The other time, he must have knocked the ball on 15+ times.

Still a handy player but maybe too little to late for Combe?

Name is Chris Johnson - he is a top bloke, but a little like the S&E no 8 who is also a decent lad, he has issues with concussion. Truwblue - am always on the hunt for new players moving to the area, so I am constantly in touch with folks, since as LCRFC don't pay players, we can try and use first mover advantage to attract them!! In the course of these conversations, you get to hear about players on the move.
