So this week we see if week one results were "holidays/weddings/first game rust" or a sign of things to come for a few teams!
Interesting to see what many believe to be the top 4 going against each other in the first couple of weeks! With Hert, Tring, Dons, Wells playing one or two of the group.

Bedford Athletic 1 -v- 5 Tring - BA to be up for it at home but Tring to make a mark after last week.

Chingford 4 -v- 1 Brentwood - Haven't got a scooby so going for home advantage against two evenly matched team in a local clash!

CS Stags 1863 1 -v- 4 Sutton & Epsom - Going for S&E with the more recent experience of this level and CS I believe still not "at home?".

Dorking 4 -v- 1 Guildford - Home advantage for what may be two evenly matched sides.

Hertford 5 -v- 2 Shelford - Hertford always strong at home but bedding new players. Will want to make a mark after last weeks loss. But Shelford after all their activity in the summer will want to show last week was not a sign of thing to come.

Sidcup 5 -v- 2 Westcliff - Going for home advantage again. Sidcup started like a train but can they repeat it? Westcliff strong and dogged so I think a high scoring affair.

Tunbridge Wells 2 -v- 5 Wimbledon - T Wells always improving upfront but Dons will be a different kettle of fish. I think Dons will take the 5 through Nat 2 experience and pack power but T Wells no mugs at home and always dangerous.

Bedford Ath 5-2 Tring Upset on the cards! Bedford play expansive rugby and will catch Tring cold.
Chingford 5-2 Brentwood Last couple games last season were close affairs, expect high scoring game with Ching coming out on top.
CS 0-5 S&E Sutts to continue where they left off on Saturday with players returning and playing on a 4g pitch they will be scoring tries at will.
Dorking 4-1 Guildford Dorking to edge a tight contested affair.
Hertford 5-0 Shelford Herts to claim first win of the season. Shelford aren’t as great as people suggest.
Sidcup 1-4 Westcliff Could go either way, Sidcup will be tough at home.
T Wells 5-2 Wimbledon Some may say an upset, however I see T Wells winning the league so no upset here.

Probably a bit early to be getting in to too much detail each week...

Bedford Athletic 0 - 5 Tring
Chingford 5 - 0 Brentwood
CS Stags 1863 0 - 5 Sutton & Epsom
Dorking 1 - 5 Guildford
Hertford 5 - 0 Shelford
Sidcup 5 - 0 Westcliff
Tunbridge Wells 5 - 1 Wimbledon

Stonking result for Sidcup last week.  Interested to know if that's a massive improvement, or if Shelford were short of players... or what was going on.  It should be clearer after this week.

TW vs Hertford last week... I'm not going to say anything about TW because it's difficult being even-handed with your home team.  Hertford look handy and this was a match that could have gone either way.  There really wasn't much in it. Their back line was dangerous throughout, with their 13 in particular a stand out. I thought our fitness was solid, but Hertford will punish any easing off at any point through to the 80th minute.  Great match to watch.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Wimbledon will bring to the table this week!

What a first week back. I did try to warn you all that we're not too bad on the old 4g Wink From my point of view it was a game where we managed to dominate possession and territory, and despite being extremely rusty, managed to put together a decent shift. Shelford looked like they had lost a few of their more physical players, (I know Red has moved on to Herts, are others such as Aki injured?) but as a result they struggled to win the collisions and set piece. That said they fought to the end and are a well drilled unit, who Im sure will come together more as they get used to their new combinations. Something which I'm sure is true for all sides who have a had a large influx in players over the off season, which make the first few weeks a bit of a lottery to predict!

Shelford itself is a fantastic place to go and watch a game of rugby, with a truly enviable set up and fantastic crowd. The Portland IPA is fairly lively, long in the mouth, with a citrus finish. 6.5/10.

Bedford Athletic 0-5 Tring - The close result against the favourites last week makes me think there will be no second season syndrome from Tring
Chingford 4-1 Brentwood - Purely going on home advantage
CS Stags 1863 1-5 Sutton & Epsom - S&E to keep up their impressive start
Dorking 5-2 Guildford - Could see this result equally going the other way as yet another eligible man gets snapped up in Surrey
Hertford 5-0 Shelford - Herts to bully the Shelford pack in front of a raucous balcony
Sidcup 5-0 Westcliff - The Dad bods to put on a show for ladies day, the boys owe this result to the poor old supporters that witnessed the complete lesson Westcliff taught us at their place last year
Tunbridge Wells 2-5 Wimbledon - Game of the week, such a tough call, just feel that the Dons experience here will show in what will surely be a belter.

Good luck to all.

Watched Brentwood v CS at the weekend. CS will do well this year, they have a great set of forwards and their backs looked good on the front foot but not so good under pressure. I think the score flattered CS a bit as Brentwood left some points out there. Apart from the try their forwards kept possession OK but never really threatened in the second half. Great set piece team.

Bedford Athletic 4 - 1 Tring Home advantage
Chingford 1-4 Brentwood Very close as usual but got to go with Brentwood
CS Stags 1863 1-4 Sutton & Epsom See above
Dorking 1-4 Guildford Dorking struggling
Hertford 4-1 Shelford Not a good start for Shelford
Sidcup 4-1 Westcliff Going with home advantage
Tunbridge Wells 4-1 Wimbledon Both teams have good results last week

Week 2
Bedford Athletic 1 v 5 Tring. Tring will be too strong, but Bedford like to throw it wide and will score plenty of tries, particularly on the plastic.
Chingford 4 v 1 Brentwood. Still no clue about these two, but going for home advantage.
CS Stags 1863  1 v 5 Sutton & Epsom. Sutton looked solid last week and the plastic might suit their backline, C.S still finding their feet.
Dorking 1 v 4 Guildford. Wedding fever to give Guildford the edge.
Hertford 5 v 0 Shelford. Sounds like Shelford may be missing a few from last season and Hertford are always strong at home.
Sidcup 2 v- 5 Westcliff. Tough one to call, didn't see the Sidcup result coming last week, but on last seasons form Westcliff should nick it.
Tunbridge Wells 1 v 5 Wimbledon. I still think Wimbledon will be too strong for the rest of us, but hope I'm proved wrong.

Bedford Athletic -v- Tring   1-5      Tring a top 4 finish on the cards. Bedford about to receive a wake up call.
Chingford -v- Brentwood    5-2      No clue, but the reservoir dogs to shine at home.
CS Stags 1863 -v- Sutton & Epsom   0-5   Wishful thinking perhaps.
Dorking -v- Guildford    5-2           Still reckon Dorking will do well, Guildford always get bonus points,
Hertford -v- Shelford     5-0          Surprised by Shelford's score last week and will leave Fortress Pain pointless.
Sidcup -v- Westcliff        1-4          Could go either way, basing this a bit on last seasons performances.
Tunbridge Wells -v- Wimbledon      5-2   Flipped a coin. wouldn't be surprised to see it go the other way.

Looking forward to seeing my first game of the season. Good luck to all.

Bedford Athletic -v- Tring 0-5 Tring Tring to strong for Bedford
Chingford -v- Brentwood 4-1 close match
CS Stags 1863 -v- Sutton & Epsom 0-5 no idea about CS, Sutton to grind out a win
Dorking -v- Guildford 2-5 Always a close game between us, think we will sneak it.
Hertford -v- Shelford 5-0 I expect Hertford to bounce back after last week.
Sidcup -v- Westcliff 5-0 Westcliff  Sidcup to grind out result
Tunbridge Wells -v- Wimbledon 1-5 probably game of the day, are TW string enough to push for top 2..

Bedford Athletic -v- Tring 0-5 Tring Despite Trings Financial woes I expect them to be too strong up front
Chingford -v- Brentwood 4-1 Unsure until I see either side hence home win
CS Stags 1863 -v- Sutton & Epsom 4-0
Dorking -v- Guildford 5-0 With wedding party returnees expect Dorking to strong at Home
Hertford -v- Shelford 5-0 Shelford could struggle if last weeks result keeps repeating
Sidcup -v- Westcliff 1-4 Westcliffe to edge this one after good win last week
Tunbridge Wells -v- Wimbledon 5-1 TW's appear best bet at this stage
