Haha Fez, I understand. Some may not want to go up but every single team will want to beat the drop. Could be a hard fought year. Slightly surprised at the Bedford Athletic score today, need to win your home games against teams that may well finish around you.

After starting slowly last week, Westcliff were excellent. Absolutely top three if they manage to play that well for most of the season.

Funny thing perspective. Whilst Westcliffe got the win, managed the game well and defended like demons I felt they weren’t overly impressive.
Bar two or three occasions, Wells gave them problems at set peice. Game could have gone either way but I felt Wells were the stronger team. But that’s sport I suppose.

One thing you may or not agree on is the referee. He looked very out of depth in my opinion.

Based on what I have been informed of, the referee was not the best, missed a lot of off the ball stuff.

I think both teams had grumbles. Evens itself out over the course of a game. TWs only got over the line when a mass brawl started on the Westcliff line (how did the Tw 7 not get sent off?) and the game was allowed to continue and someone snuck past the brawl to put the ball down!

At the end of the day the result was fair. Neither team showed much but it wasn’t a day to show a bag of tricks, it was about game management and strong defense. Let’s hope we see less of that weather for at least a couple of months! Good luck TWs on the rest of the season. Certainly look like a top 4 team.

I couldn't make the Sutton v Dorking derby, but was happy to be proved wrong with my prediction, Sutton were still short of at least six front line players so this was a testament to those that stepped in and took their chance and the new coaching team who obviously asked for a reaction after last weeks non performance against Chingford.
Plenty of other strange results, i didn't see Guildford winning at Hertford which reinforces my opinion that the league is much more competitve this year with Wimbledon favourites for promotion.
