Fandango, or anyone else, Westcliff have strung some games together, have you seen them play recently? What's new? New players? Or just just getting on a roll? The difference between many teams in this league is very small so confidence or having the luck to stay healthy is often enough.

No idea what the turn around is. Perhaps 2 consecutive seasons of exposure to this level rather than yo-yoing between N3 and L1.

There are no new players, but influential ex captain Ian Dartnall is back at lock after long term injury. We have been able to field a more settled side this season, after a couple of seasons with long injury lists. A young team who are playing much more as a team this year and beginning to feel they can do well at this level. Here is hoping for our fourth win in a row (club record I think at this level). We could finish 6th or 7th which would be a great achievement after struggling last season and getting a reprieve from relegation.

Not really the feast of rugby many predicted at Sutton yesterday, Parks very big and efficient pack strangled the life out of Sutton in the first half and to be honest it was suprising we were only 13-0 down at half time.
Like England last week it took Sutton the whole of the first half to realise plan A wasn't working and in the second half they ran everything they could with quick tap penalties and moving the ball wide at every opportunity moving the larger Park pack around the pitch. This tactic was rewarded with a try for each winger, but  a late penalty for Park killed off any hopes of a home win, final score 10-16.
Park were deserved winners and looked like a team comfortable in their own skin, playing when they needed to, but the home teams second half was impressive and in James Faaatuatu (far too many vowels surely)had the best player on the pitch, but if we're honest most of the home support would have settled for a losing bonus point before the match.

Another good performance from Westcliff yesterday against a Chichester side who defended with great spirit. We targeted these last four games as those that may define our season and I'm happy to say with 20 points from those four games, we now look safe from relegation. We like Nat3 rugby, and hope to stay in this league for seasons to come :-)
