Chingford -v- CS Stags 1863 4-1 Home advantage counts
Dorking -v- Bedford Athletic 5-0 Can't see BA bouncing from narrow home defeat
Hertford -v- Sutton & Epsom 1-5 S&E squeeze it despite H being upbeat after winning last week
Shelford -v- Guildford 1-4 Gs to keep the run going
Sidcup -v- Tring 4-1 Heard Sidcup played well last week
Tunbridge Wells -v- Brentwood 4-1 TW don't seem to have hit their potential so far
Westcliff -v- Wimbledon- 4-1 Game of the day. Feel like Wimbledon will come out all guns blazing but Cliff will have enough
What was wrong with calling it London 1?

Fantastic game last week at S&E in glorious sunshine. Particularly enjoyed the use of the tannoy and music to whip the crowd up into a frenzy. Sidcup came roaring back with about 15 to go, just coming up short on the final play of the game. I think a few of the boys were a little emotional post game but definitely one of our better performances. Heres hoping everything clicks soon and we start taking all the chances we create. S&E struggled mightily at set piece, but were impressive around the park and took their tries extremely well. Their back 3 were a constant threat throughout, a much more rounded side then last year I thought.

The Wolf Rock IPA - hoppy aroma yet malty taste, the experience buoyed by the fantastic horseshoe bar and glorious weather. 7/10

Chingford
-v- CS Stags 1863 4-1 -  Home advantage but wouldn't be surprised if the Womble slayers took this
Dorking -v- Bedford Athletic 5-1 - Bedford haven't kicked on as much as i thought they would in the past couple games
Hertford -v- Sutton & Epsom  4-1 - Was impressed with S&E's shape and composure last week, just feel that Herts at home will finally pull themselves out of this funk, either way it will be mightily close
Shelford -v- Guildford 0-5 - Feel for Shelford, can't see a way out of this unless they spend big and soon
Sidcup -v- Tring 5-0 - Tring always very strong and tough to beat, hopefully Cup will finally bring it all together with a complete performance
Tunbridge Wells -v- Brentwood 5-2 - Think Brentwood will really give them a scare though, RTW very up and down
Westcliff -v- Wimbledon 5-2 - Would never have predicted this a few weeks ago, Westcliff always strong at home, hope they do this for the amateur boys!

Good luck all,
DD

Another week, another round of great games. This season is really proving hard to predict! Love it!

Chingford 4-v-1 CS Stags 1863 - Would have been a nailed on home way until the shock of last week. However I still think Ching will come good but it'll be close.

Dorking 4-v-0 Bedford Athletic - Dorking too strong at home but not setting the world on fire.

Hertford 5-v-2 Sutton & Epsom - Game of the day potentially. Hertford haven't been terrible but close to clicking. S&E been having some good things said about them. I'm going for high scoring home win.

Shelford 1 -v- 5 Guildford - Shelford play for 80 at home and I think can sneak a BP but Guildford seem full of spirit and are better than last year.

Sidcup 1-v-4 Tring - Do we go with CUUUPPP and their welcoming home crowd or the usually quite reliable Tring? Well I'm going with the visitors who have the more all round game than Cup who seem a bit limited outside of their good pack.

Tunbridge Wells 5-v-0 Brentwood - T Wells yet to fire but I think this will the week and Brentwood may struggle with the all round game RTW play.

Westcliff 1-v-5 Wimbledon - Second game of the day potentially! Westcliff bloody hard at home and full of confidence. Dons wanting to get back on track. I think the Wombles will just edge it in a close affair.

With wind and rain forecast it could be another week of low scoring tight games.

Chingford -v- CS Stags 1863 4-1 Very boggy down at Ching. Their pack won’t mind it.

Dorking -v- Bedford Athletic 4--0 Dorking better than the league would suggest.

Hertford -v- Sutton & Epsom 4-1 Hertford are experienced, at home, and S&Es extravagant play might play against them in the elements.

Shelford -v- Guildford 0-5 Can Shelford bounce back after last weeks defeat? I don’t think so.

Sidcup -v- Tring 1-4 Tring far too good for Sidcup...but maybe the weather helps Sidcup to keep it close.

Tunbridge Wells -v- Brentwood 4-0 TW too good at home and in the elements.

East Chingstead -v- CS Stags 1863  1-4 CS is a very strange club and I've never been able to fathom their results or how they do it.
Dorking -v- Bedford Athletic 4-1 Must win game for Dorking and I expect them to scrape home at The Big Field.
Hertford -v- Sutton & Epsom 1-4 A big test for Hertford and close, but I'm expecting Sutts to sneak it.
Shelford -v- Guildford 0-5 It's looking bad/sad.
Sidcup -v- Tring 1-4 I'm expecting the gentlemen of Tring to be the more vocal in the bar.
Tunbridge Wells -v- Brentwood 4-1 A very difficult one to call. I'll go with the royalty payments.
Westcliff -v- Wimbledon 0-5 Expecting a huge backlash from the Wombles, and it's a pity Westcliffe's amateurs are going to be on the end of it.

Very frustrating game for me as a Westcliff supporter today. We started well, scrum going well against Wimbledon’s strong pack (took first scrum against the head then held our own in the next few). I felt the ref wasn’t giving us what we deserved which is never a nice feeling, then Disaster ! our influential tighthead went off with a broken arm :-( Westcliffs weakened scrum was then taken apart. A string of scrum penalties, and a penalty try and that was effectively game over !
In the second half particularly I thought we were fantastic and I couldn’t be more proud of our lads, battling for everything, and showing some great skills. Eventually going down fighting 24-5.
It’s going to be tough for a while now without our tighthead but Ive enjoyed our unexpected week of being top of the table :-) The conditions played into Wimbledon’s hands I feel, and they obviously came with a game plan to keep it tight and win, which they did very professionally. Worthy favourites to win the league I’d say from what Ive seen so far.

T.E.M. - Broken forearm is the diagnosis. In a cast up above the elbow.

It was more even before the injury but whilst it did make a difference the better team won and I’m just even more surprised by the CS result for Wimbledon last week. Some big forwards, some experience to manage the game well and I’m sure Wimbledon will be more physical than any team in the league this year. Would be interesting to get them on a dry sunny day but I can’t see them dropping many points through the winter.

Bigger issue for me was the officiating. Refs will always miss things so hard to say someone is out of their depth, but we had a team of 3 today, but for what reason? The TJs didn’t make one decision or mic into the ref once
