Well in the final round, our predictions methods ultimately came to fruition and we all did rather well. Five full houses is almost as good as the number we have achieved in the previous 25 rounds. The five with the clearest crystal balls this week were Bin Licker, Bottomofthehill, Cobbler, myself and (most importantly, despite an unofficial stewards enquiry) Westwood1944.

Westwood's 10 pointer means that, coming up on the rails, he overhalls long time leader, Welshwonder, to become the N3M Prediction League Champion 2017
(Harvey Mac will have to go to the Court of Arbtration for Sport if he wants to overturn this one.
Congratulations also to Broadstreet in becoming this year's league champions and good luck to Sheffield in their attempt to join them in N2N via the playoffs. Best of luck to Bedford and Syston and we hope to see both clubs back here in the not too distant future.

Congratulations to Westwood on his victory in this prediction league, bad weekend for me all round as not only could I hold onto my lead but a defeat for my own team against Lymm in N3 North and a win at Waterloo for Doncaster Phoenix meant relegation to North 1 East for next season. Don't worry, Welshwonder will be back for another crack next season!!

Thanks for organising the prediction league Stallion. Like my team I topped the table briefly but flattered to deceive! However poor our end of season form was we have survived level 5 of the league structure for the first time in 4 attempts (first year of leagues - Area League North, 2nd to last, 2004-5, 3rd from last and  2012-3, last)

Sorry to see Syston and Bedford Ath relegated but no doubt they will return before too long.

Enjoy the summer all. Would be nice to have some discussion in this league other than the prediction league, but it seems that is no longer what people want.

Cheers, Cobbler.

Here, here. Looks like Scunny and Newport will both be re joining the league from opposite directions plus Newbold who I know nothing about. Kettering Bourneville for play off this weekend. Any other changes?

Well done Stallion on keeping the league up-to-date. We're still in with a shout of staying in Nth 2 but just like me a very slim hope but who would have thought we'd in the league last year having lost our 1st two games. All to play for next Saturday.

Thanks Stallion for keeping the league running - I never quite got to grips with tipping against my own team - just couldn't do it. Happy holidays everyone.

If Sheffield don't beat Rossendale, will they return to N3N (or Premiere North)?

After a terrible start to the season I am delighted to accept the winner’s accolades, trophy, bottle of champagne etc, not to mention the £50 side bet with Harvey Mac!!! Somewhere out there Harvey has just choked on his beer, thought I’d forgot that one!!

Now looking forward to the EM Cup final v the Ath at Bedford Blues on Wednesday KO 7:30, possibly Mr Fox’s last game in charge (he won’t be playing, picked up a red v Derby) before he moves on to bigger and better things, we wish him well.

Will be interesting to see the make-up of the league next year, hoping Kettering win their play-off, we need a local derby!

Big thanks to Stallion for running the league and ignoring Harvey Mac's repeated attempts to overhaul me by fair means and foul.

Initially Sheffield (if they loose the play-off) & Sandbach will go into the Northern pot, and likely get level transferred back to Midlands Premier if there are too many teams for the league.

The other thing to consider is the outcome of relegation from the N2 leagues. If it finishes as per the current standings, then an N2S team will be saved as a result of the London Welsh situation. This will mean one too few clubs in one of the two N3 southern leagues (depending on the outcome of the Wimbledon/Dings playoff), and therefore one team will need to be transferred from N3M to that division. Possibly Newbold, possibly Old Hales?

There are just too many variables at the moment, and it's probably best to wait until after the weekend when the situation should be resolved.

Very true. Especially as they were one short last year (before potential further shortfall) a space that Bromsgrove filled but have now gone down to L6. Could be 2 Midland teams heading South yet. Towcestrians will be another candidate.

Bet there will not be any volunteers!

I can't see a situation where 2 teams will need to level transfer from Midlands to the south - Bromsgrove's place has already been taken by a team promoted from the correct region.

On the other hand, you are correct about Towcestrians; I had forgotten about them! They are more likely to go South East than Newbold if Wimbledon win the playoff.

Towcestrians got promoted last season from SW1E where they had been playing since 2013/14. Prior to that they were in M1E
