A stupendous team performance from Ilkley today at Stack’s Field, overcoming Billingham by 5 tries to 1.

Billingham scored first after 13 minutes, but Ilkley hit back 8 minutes later to level the scores at 7-7. Another Ilkley try just before half-time gave the home side the lead.

The second half belonged to the Dalesmen, scoring 17 unanswered points for a fully-deserved bonus-point win.

The game was a superb spectacle, played in good spirit and it was a great shame that Billingham flanker Sean Richardson had to be carried off with a suspected broken leg. All at Ilkley wish him a speedy recovery.

It was a pleasure to watch ilkley yesterday
against a strong Billingham team. The work the
coaches are putting in certainly seems be bearing
fruit.

The RFU score showed the result as 100 to 27 in Dales favour for a few minutes yesterday.

Thanks, Yogi. Generous indeed ! Glad you liked my report... Loved the Corinthian reference, despite the fact that unusually, there wasn’t a single kickable penalty at goal....so no opportunity to miss deliberately !

Looking forward to seeing you on March 2nd - you may even be Champs by then, so can slack off a bit ...

Puli,
Don't underestimate my vocal talents. I am told I do a very decent impression of Dean Martin's 'Little old
wine-drinker me' when I am in my cups, which is not very often nowadays!!
