Results for today's games

Billingham 25-12 Ilkley

Waterloo 14-29 Doncaster Phoenix

Huddersfield 37-35 Sandal

Hull 26 -10 Kendal

Lymm 27-10 Cleckheaton

Stockport 24-71 Morley

Wirral 42-14 Rossendale

Morley got the points they required versus Stockport to avoid relegation, whilst Cleckheaton lost to Lymm and Phoenix winning at Waterloo condemned Cleckheaton to the final relegation spot. Congratulations to Huddersfield on going through the season undefeated although the game today sounds to be a classic with the Champions just about getting home against Sandal.

Lymm displayed too much pace for injury hit Cleckheaton today in an error strewn game with the hosts winning 27-10 to send Cleckheaton to the final relegation spot. Lymm scored 3 tries, all converted and added 2 penalty goals whilst Cleckheaton got 2 unconverted tries. The game was marred by an ugly brawl in which just about every player on the park was involved in the closing moments, when the dust had settled the Lymm prop and Cleckheaton full back were dismissed by the referee.

Congratulations to those who achieved promotion/play offs and commiserations to those in the relegation spots. All the best to Rossendale in the play offs and to everyone else next season.

By the look of things a number of local derbies for Port and a significantly reduced travel bill!

Interesting to note that both Hudds and K Lonsdale achieved perfect seasons. no doubt we'll all be watching how B Park get on in the play offs.

Unfortunately I wasn't at Lockwood yesterday to witness a great game of Rugby where I believe Sandal were in the ascendancy for a large part of the game. Fantastic hosts and good refereeing. If Greg had put the conversion over to draw the game I definitely would be champion of the prediction league.
Only downside when you do so well against Huddersfield is you may be a couple of players light next season.
That's life.
