Plucky Pock battled hard against fellow strugglers Birkenhead Park before going down 15-23 in an error-strewn enounter. The patched-up home side, ravaged by injury and illness, did their cause no good at all by conceding penalty after penalty and this latest defeat all but condems them to relegation after their only season in the Northern Premier League. Lifting the gloom a little were the two cracking tries scored by centre Ben Thoy.
